If April would stop replying to every single post, a lot of this wouldn't be happening. Not the Janet posts, that's fine. But when people are having a quick private conversation (or even an extended conversation), April chimes in for no other reason than to be the last post in the thread. But April, what you're ALSO doing is butting into private conversations and often ending up in arguments because you had no business in the conversation in the first place.

I really dont' feel like getting banned just because of this one comment but let me explain this:

If it it is a PRIVATE conversation....then you can take it to PM's! The reason why you post is to get others opinions or you have a question to ask! If you have a personal question or you want to have a private converstation..take it to PM's! I have just as much right as the next person to post whenever and wherever I want! I'm telling people to take their off topic comments to the Off topic thread so that we can stay on topic....Stephany..dont' try to pin all the blame on me again...same to you Denise and Charlie! Nik and Mike will have to decide this though. Everybody in here thinks having a private conversation once in a while is perfectly fine (except April). But I've seen on other boards where Nik moderates, that she doesn't like personal conversations either. I don't know where Mike stands on this issue.

We need to hear from the Moderators on this because as you can see, neither side is bending.

I'm not a fan of the personal conversations when they get in the way of actual conversation in a forum. For example, when people keep trying to have a conversation in Christina about Christina and the only threads that keep getting bumped up are threads between two or three people and some very good ON-topic subjects get lost.

I don't see that happening here since people who are having the conversations are also posting on Janet and I don't see a problem given that there aren't more than one or two going at any given time. If the forum gets busier, perhaps it'll start to be a problem, but it isn't now, for me. When there are only about 10 consistent posters, there really shouldn't be all this turmoil.

Yes, everyone can post here, but that doesn't mean that everyone needs to be a part of everything. There will be threads you don't like. So don't post in them. There will be topics that don't pertain to you. So don't post in them. That doesn't mean, be quiet. It just means be discriminating. Respond to the people who respond to the Janet topics if that's what you want, but don't jump on others for having other conversations when a quick glance at the board shows that you (whoever the accuser is) is as guilty as everyone else.

Everyone's welcome in the forum and in every thread, but that doesn't mean that a post is necessarily appropriate in every thread.

Nik...I couldn't agree w/ you more! I kinda understand where Charlie and Denise are coming from when they say that I get in the way of the conversation but they shouldn't be saying that I have no right to be in that conversation! And I can understand a friendly conversation that is a little off topic but when all they do is fight and in 8 different threads and then they yell at me for being frustrated in 3 different threads...I dont' see how it's right! It's a public forum and people can post wherever they want! And if it's soooooo personal that they dont' want people to interupt them then why can't they just pm eachother?!

She didn't say that I couldnt' post in a topic that didn't pertain to me! If it's in this PUBLIC forum then EVERYONE can reply to it! it pertains to everyone! But Denise and Charlie are mad because they say that I "interupt" their little "play" fights all the time..they do this once a week and they do it in every thread that they both reply in! BUT if they dont' want to be INTERUPTED and it's a really private and personal thing then they should take it to pm's!

Charlie and Denise--talk away but in only a few threads and don't tell people to get out.

April--you don't always have to say something. Learn where you're not necessarily wanted. Especially if it already irritates you. IF the other two are squabbling, just stay out of it. There's no reason in the world why your name has to be in every thread. Let them have their posts to themselves...it doesn't hurt anyone. Start at thread about Janet instead and watch them come to you--or the many peepers. Either way, you're off topic in here often enough too so you really shouldn't complain too much.
