OFFICIAL "Thank You Shelly" Thread

Okay all of you, here's the deal...
Nik gave the approval, but you have to abide by the rules or when I cut and paste I'll leave your post out. ;)

I'm going to collect your thank you messages to Shelly for spending valuable time with us and then I'll snail them to her in a card or something. I'll figure that out later. I'll give everyone 3 weeks to post whatever they want. If you want to actually send something to her, please let me know in pm's and I will give you my address and I will put everything together, mail it to her so that it all comes together from us. I think it would be nice for all of us to just let her know that we DID in fact appreciate her!
HOWEVER...Nothing is to be said that would make Shelly feel Guilty about her decision to take a break from LD , {which led to the administrators decision to close the forum} that's where my deleting will come in. We don't want to make her feel bad, we want to make her feel Good, like she WAS appreciated. Okay thanks. And I'll accept everything until lets see... July 22. That will be the cutoff. Thank you so much for all that you do for us at LD - it should be clear to you from all of these messages that you are so much more than just a "question answerer" to so many of us, and I'm sure I'm not exaggerating at all when I say that you've been a second mom to quite a few confused and upset LD kids.

You've said it yourself when referring to the media types who start false rumors and stories - there are just BAD people in this world who get off (or get paid) to say and do these terrible things.

Illegitimi non carborundum, Shelly. It's Latin for, "Don't let the b@stards get you down." It's some of the best advice I've ever been given, and I offer it to you (and Christina) now. I do hope you will be able to rejoin us at a later date when the board is a friendlier place for you and fans both.

Thanks you soo much for all that you have done for me and others at LD. You are an amazing person to all of us. To most of us you are our second mom. You are very appreciated by so many people here and we will be awaiting your return to LD. I wish you the best from now til then. Hi Shelly, I know we've never spoken before, but your presence will surely be missed here at Live Daily. I have been one of those people who didn't really comment on things all that much or asked you for advice on certain situations because I suppose I didn't want to add to the confusion.

I just want you to know that just reading your answers to many questions and seeing the way you handled so many people's problems and concerns with such wisdom and care truly touched me. You were like a mother to so many people and you truly opened people's eyes to the lies and falseness that the media portrays.

Not only have you brought fans closer to your daughter and the rest of your family, but have also helped us develop a better understanding of the business and who Christina is as a person and as an artist. She can touch so many people with her beautiful voice and take so many of her fans to different places with it, let it be her love for blues music, her R&B inspirations or her Latin music. She is truly an inspiration to so many and is such a great reflection of you.

for taking the time to have done what you have for so many. I'm not sure if you've grasped how much you have done for the people here at Live Daily. Even if I never speak with you or your daughter personally, please take with you these feelings that are only filled with love and gratitude. And while you are taking that with you also take the fact that I as well am half Irish, half Latino, which I know has nothing to do with the previously mentioned, but I know very well how Christina has to deal with things, because my last name is Irish and I do look whiter than what half my background suggests, many try to deny who I am or forget what I am and make ignorant comments. Sorry for babbling, I just wanted you to know that your advice on these subjects and others has been very guiding and helpful. You, unfortunately, are a perfect target because anyone can talk to you to tell you that christina is not as wonderful as we all know that she is. I remember when you replied to my post and how excited I was to have actual contact with Christina's mom! You helped make us realize that Christina is real and accessible. You are truly one of a kind! Thank you for trying so hard to make this work--I understand why it didn't. I do hope to keep up with whatever you're doing via the official site. Thanks again for your attention/devotion to us fans.

Sometimes it's a rare thing to find out in the world. Your down to earthness is just so geniune it becomes so easy to relate and talk and share things with you. Your honesty most of all is one thing I love so much about you. It's hard to find that today as well.
