I havent posted here in a while!! Anyway, her album went gold as of July 2nd!!!!! Very good news!!

I honestly want to know how that's possible. This isn't a dis I promise. But if she sold like 119,000 copies the first week and less the second and third, how is it possible for her to sell 500,000, which equals gold? I guess it means 500,000 have been shipped??

who cares check the offical site....sound scan says it went gold...then it went gold.

ACTUALLY the record company has a choice on how much they ship out...she did not sell 500,000, her record company shipped it.

That is the amount that was shipped not sold, the album has sold half of that amount so it makes perfect sense that the record company would ship out 500,000 copies, she will eventually get to that amount and hopefully more.

I dont think the Record Company has a choice on what they ship, the Record Stores have to pre order the albums before they are shipped

I know Gold is a big accomplishment, but I thought this album would do better. There was just so much hype about it... I thought it would be platinum by now.

way to go Jess!!!! I mean considering Sweet Kisses took a year to go gold (i think)...this is a HUGE accomplisment!!! I mean wow! That's awesome! And it is doing great internationally too! And for those of who don't think it's doing well...give it time. Sales will only go up!
