So I just realized it is August 14th. And if my memory is right, tickets went on sale for the Into The Millennium Tour 2 years ago today! (This better be the right date, or I'll be looking pretty dumb, lol) And that means that I have been at LD now for 2 years :eek: SO it got me thinking back to the days of 1999, and how cool LD was. WHERE THE HECK DID EVERYONE GO???? Not that I don't love all the new people..I would just like to see some of the old people once in awhile! Where you guys at?

Mine is how the old boards used to be! Remember how they were that ugly brownish color? And there were no icons to post in front of topics, and it didn't show the number of views each topic received, and we didn't even used to have PM's!

I hated how LD "lost" almost everyone's initial screen names...so a lot of us had to re-register! This was like just a few moths after starting it up!

Yeah that happened to my name too. I had to register again in November, but it still let me use the same name I had before. I think it wouldn't let a couple people re-register with the same name, so some people added ! to the end (like Kev4Ever!) :)

I remember how awesome this place was when I first found it. I was all excited about it.
I still think it's cool, but something about the board was different then.

Oh, and I just checked my ticket from the first leg of the ITM tour and it says August 16th that it went on sale. Is that right?

Looks like I'm one of the older ones... *lol* I joined in July '99.. and then signed up as the new handle, kangarooland in August '99 and I've been around ever since. I actually came in here in search of someone who could sell/buy tickets for me for the Ottawa, Ontario show... I actually did find some one to sell me tickets (although they offered AFTER they had put them on an ebay auction so i ended up spending a fortune! anyway, so if it wasn't for LD, I wouldn't of gotten to see the boys in the ITM tour! *big smile* I love this place!

Well I remember that i got my wisdom teeth out on the 21st of August and my ebay auction ended that day. and i think that was a week after the tickets went on sale.. so yeah, i'm thinking it was around the 14th. I remember they had orginally planned to be announced on July 19th so i remember waiting almost a month to see if they'd come to Nova Scotia.. when they finally were announced i saw that they weren't so i made the final decision to travel to see them. anyway.. yes, it was around aug 14th.

I have been here since July of 1999 but I had to re-register under this name. I remember in the beginning we used to have some really interesting topics! One of my favorites was about if you had the chance to get with one of the Boys, which one would it be and what would you do? It got pretty explicit, but it was absolutely the funniest thing I have ever read. I laughed until I cried!

I don't even want to think about how many hours I have spent on this board.

err, even though i never really have been a BIG poster, ive been around since... june// july 1999, under BSBlvr... then when names got erased, BSB_lvr... the list goes ON and ON. i really dont remember a whole lot about the past Livedaily board, but i do remember the ugly tannish crap. yuckk!! i was tryin to think of the name of one poster.. her name was like, Yoga or something that starts with a 'Yo'?? i remember she posted about wanting us to tell our bsb dreams, lol, that post was huge with everyone!! lol!!

the only posts i TRULY remember, besides the dream on, was when the board collaborated on a HUGE fanfic. it got incredibly crazy... people killed off leighanne, after she cheated on brian and had a kid, saying it was brian's for the money. it was TOTALLY crazy, but quite fun to read.. and write in.

OMG Fricks Chick!! I remember that! I contributed to that quite a bit, as the petite nurse that managed to shut AJ up at the hospital. Oh goodness, some of the things people wrote was riotous! It was great fun. I even had it saved on my old computer, the ENTIRE thing, before my system crashed just this past November.

I guess I am another Old Schooler. I started back in Sept 99, or something like that. I was looking for info on the release of tickets for the second leg of ITM. What a GREAT find this place was. LD moved w/ me from Florida, to South Carolina, and now Maryland. LD and peeps have helped me through some rough and painful times. (some of you may remember when I got sick last year and was told I had Lupus.)

BSB and LD are a big part of my life. I remember we had a board-wide Post-Award house party, or something like that as well. Pool parties, water ballons, you name it!

I was a lurker for about 3 months before i joined the FIRST time which was before ITM concert tix wen't out. Back then i was somethin like bRi*b i think.?.

I first went on LD to get info on concerts. I found this place to be the best ever for true info, not just rumors and innuendo....then I went to the checking in mode....then to logging on frequently. I haven't had much time lately, but I am soooo glad to see the sheer numbers of posts on this board!!! Go BSB!!!!! There is NO stopping our boys!!! LMAO, thats quite funny!! but yea, nowadays, if we were to have another fanfic.. and kill off leighanne, we'd have some MAJOR @$$ problems on here. people would be flippin out, our post would be deleted.. blah blah. that was another thing about the old days! we seemed to be able to get away with a lot more stuff, since there was only so many people who logged onto this site. i MAY be wrong.. but i came onto this board, when there was only TWO different boards.. nsync, and backstreet. although, i cant remember the EXACT date like a couple people in here.. i, as well, came onto this board while searching around for info on bsb ticket dates... to go on sale.

i ALSO remember being on this board, and FREAKING out cuz bsb was in second behind nsync, for VMA 99. when they were behind with like, 52% to whatever bsb was. we ALL got onto mtv.com and OUR MEN WON!!! yayy, those definitley were the good ole' days!! lol

one more thing, and im done for now... lol. i cant remember who all it was, but there was some people on the board that HATED bsb's performance at the VMA's, and the people who liked it ((me included)) pretty much told them that their performance was most likely gonna be what the video's gonna be, and they might as well have enjoyed it. sure enough.. same outfits ((for aj-- who many people hated that outfit)).. same dance moves.. lol, o wellz, they got over it.

Remember when the link to the BSB board would change? I used to bookmark the forum and then it would say "this is no longer available" and it turned out that live daily had changed it's url. that used to really upset me.. lol.

i remember when newbies used to be such a big deal.. lol. i think it was because there were just so many regulars at one time that we used to freak out (sometimes in a mean way) to the new fans who came aboard. that was fun.. cruel, but fun.

oh yes, Kev4Ever! I remember when we could delete our own posts.. those were the good days when we could all be trusted.. lol. Oh, the envy I feel for you and your mod power!!

As for threads.. I seem to recall a lot of "what would you do if bsb read this board" type of threads.. which still pop up once and awhile. it's like we were all so worried that they would come here and read what we were saying.. lol. that's too funny.

And all those girls who used to pretend (obviously) that they knew the guys.. or their best friend's dog's uncle's left foot knew one of them. Oh, some of the crap they'd feed you.. good for a laugh I suppose. "I'm having Nick's baby..." "no! i am!" lol..

Oh, I could go on for days. Although visually and speed wise, the board has improved so much.. I still miss the old board.

I remember the first day I stumbled across this board, I was in the school computer lab, BSB searching, cause I had just went to my first BSB concert and fell in love, Sept 99, and I was a peeper for a good 3 to 5 months before I decided to register. I remember when you could cuss and talk dirty, and boy did people... I dont remember the brown background. I remember NCAJLUVR, and Pinky, and Loud99, she was cool, and the only two guys that posted and that one guy was tryin to hook up with that one girl. All the posers, and even when Bob used to post...ah, I'm so glad I found this a while ago. :)

I can tell you first hand that she had the hook up. Perhaps she lost it later and couldn't come through anymore. That happens.

I just hope that she wasn't chased away. She was MUCH too helpful, considerate, nice, a GREAT moderator, and a decent friend for that. She gave much of her time and effort to this board. And we all know that. That shouldn't be erased or besmershed (hey, I just used a big word).
