The RESULTS of the 2001 LiveDaily Christina Aguilera Board Awards !!!

Well ladies and gentleman, this is the post you've been waiting awhile to see :D

I would personally like to take the time to thank 2 groups of people. The first group is the 47 members who voted in the awards. This is over 3 times as many voters as we got last year on the board and by your participation, you've made these awards much better (as well as make me do more work ;))
I would also like to personally thank the people who voted for me in the awards. I like most others did not ask for these votes and I am honored and humbled that you would choose me as one of the best members on the board in the particular categories that you did. Thank you :)

I would like to publically harangue members who ended up winning a few or many awards but did not vote at all in the awards. I think you should all feel pretty bad, so many different people (125 different members to be exact) were nominated for these awards and many members voted in the awards who didn't even get nominated or voted for and you guys and gals did not even have the decency to take 5 minutes out of your time and vote in the awards. True I know that it isn't manditory to vote in these awards, but if you were nominated multiple times by other people and don't even have the guts to vote yourselves, that is not very fair to the people who didn't win any awards, now is it? (or the people who voted for you either) I'm not going to point anyone out, and thankfully this list was not very large at all, but thats something that got me a little angry as I was tabulating the votes and I just wanted to point that out.

Secondly, I did not change these votes in any way. These are all the votes by the people that voted, and I would never change them at all, even if I would loose an award myself. I just wanted to clear that up.

Thirdly, I would like to thank the people who bumped my posts to the top of the topics each day. Also thank you to to Michelle and others for also bumping the topics when I was away on vacation.

Fourthly, if you didn't win an award, its not the end of the world. It means nothing, it doesn't mean that you are still not good or very good in the category(s) you didn't win in, it just means in the public's opinion, someone else did a better job than you did this year, thats all. Don't loose sleep over it.

Fifthly, this was very time consuming for me. I think total I spent around 8 or 9 hours and upwards of that tabulating the hundreds of votes I got from you members. This was not an easy awards (as far as counting is concerned) but it is done and here for you all to view.

Sixthly, if you see a mistake I made in your username, please tell me where it is and what I messed up on, and in time I will correct it.

Another thing: this website is simple and just shows you all the results. I am in the process of making a more comprehensive one, so stay tuned :)

Lastly, if any of you would like to volunteer your time and use your excellent graphics design skills to make some sort of "award" (a graphic) for these awards, that would be nice. The award has to be 100 Length by 50 Width (in pixels) but can include anything you'd like. It would be interesting to compare a few of those if some of you are willing to make them. Also, please be sure to save them on your computers, because the only way I can edit them (to put peoples usernames and the category they won if I deem that to be the best thing to do) is if I have the .psp or whatever extention for the graphics program you use. I use fireworks 3 and for that to be compatible with photoshop, I need the photoshop file you used to create it. If you would like to show me on the board, that is fine too.

what was scary was that when it was time to count the last-minute votes last night, michelle and melissa got the exact same number of regular votes which put them in a 3-way tie for member you would most like to meet. But then people didn't realize that was the only category that I put CHOOSE 2, so therefore some people just chose one instead of 2. The bottom line was that melissa and michelle got the EXACT SAME # of tiebreaker votes, so I decided to make them both winners.

I **think** I have the right pixel size now, its going to be slightly smaller so people can put them in their signatures. I would like it 150 Length by 60 Width pixels. If this is too small, please let me know, however I do not want any huge award as these will go in peoples signatures (probably)

The colors are simple, this is a livedaily award so your colors will be from the LiveDaily board. Now I have asked Richard twice to respond to my email in which I asked him for the correct Hex#'s of some colors on the board but for some reason he has not responded. So I will just tell you all the colors (I have no other choice) and hope the awards are not that different in color.

These awards are not only for LiveDaily but also for our beloved Christina Aguilera. So it would be common sense to put something about her in there, perhaps a picture or something of the sort, you can only use parts of the picture deemed necessecary. Also if you want to use the LiveDaily logo, that is fine with me too. I also need a runner-up logo, while not as fancy, would still look nice. The same criteria applies to this award too.

Two other things, PLEASE save your graphic, if your in photoshop, the extention will be .psp (I think or maybe that is for paint shop). Whatever the case, I need to have the actual file, not the exported .gif or .jpeg picture file but the file from the program that you were using. This will enable Fireworks (what I use) to import your file easily. Secondly, All I need is the background, unless you feel compelled to put something else on the award. I was going to do the text on the award myself but if you'd like you can put on it (without quotes) "2001 LD CA Awards" in bold centered and about 1/3 down from the top. Please save your file and copy it and eventually send it to me and also to show me what it looks like, please export the file as you normally would as a .gif or .jpeg file and put it in this thread for me to see.

GRAPHICS POST for the graphics people from page 8 or 9

I **think** I have the right pixel size now, its going to be slightly smaller so people can put them in their signatures. I would like it 150 Length by 60 Width pixels. If this is too small, please let me know, however I do not want any huge award as these will go in peoples signatures (probably)
