Signatures and options are defaulted to off. This board has the capablility of turning them off so you don't see them if you don't want to. If you want them to show up, go to edit profile in the user cp button and update it there. The colored text and smilies and such are the LD codes option.

If anyone can't reply to a thread because the screen takes too long to load, go here http://beta.talk.livedaily.com/memb...ion=editoptions Scroll down to "other options" (at the bottom) and where it says "Use LiveDaily Formatting Code on your message input screens?" check no. Then submit. That should take care of your problem.

The arrows to the very right-hand side of the screen take you to the last post of a thread. The one that points down, reverses the sort order of the forum, so if you click it, the very last threads will be what come up first. The arrows to the left of the screen take you to the last post you read in that topic.

If a picture in your signature (that you are allowed to use...) isn't showing up, see how long the address is for it. If it's too long, the board will automatically shorten it so the screen doesn't stretch. Ex, http://www. blahblahblahblahblahbl...ahblah
.com has ... in it to prevent the screen from stretching. If this happens, take your picture to another site and upload it.

You'll probably want to go delete your sent PMs because if you have too many, you won't be able to receive PMs. There is now a check all box, so that will now be easier.

Why was the "Sticky:" designation removed? I think it's more confusing without it (or something to signal it) because there's no easy way to tell which is a normal thread without looking at the date of the posts.

stikied threads are important ones, so they stay on the top of the post index so people can read them more often. this is useful for announcements (hence the announcements on top) but also for other important threads. stikied threads are usually pinned by the moderator. stikied threads can be pinned and unpinned.

according to my experiences, the default is set to "YES" yet I don't see the options. if I try to select no, nothing happens and the next time I enter the control panel, its back to YES again. a bug perhaps??? :-/

Oops, look what I started :D I think "Sticky" is the default thing that shows up for vBulletin as I've seen it on other boards.

There is something weird about that setting... If you have the formatting off and go to the options, it will show up as being on. If you have formatting on, it will show in the options as being off. But if you submit the options anyway in either case, it still accepts the settings right, it just doesn't show up correctly in the options when you go back to it.

You didn't mention that submitting the option still works... If you submit the option with formatting set to yes, you will see all the stuff when you make a post, it just says the opposite if you go back to the options even though you see everything in the posting screen. It's just a display problem on the options screen and not a problem with the option itself.

That's the point.. even though it says it's on, submit it with the option set to "Yes" anyway. It will still go through and you will see the stuff on the posting screen. But then after that if you try to go to the options, it will say its off even though it's actually on.

there's another thing I noticed, if someone votes in a poll, the thread still gets moved to the top with the new time showing in the forum even if nobody has actually replied to the thread. I dunno if that's supposed to happen but it's kinda weird.

if i used the Forum Jump to get to another Forum I need to press Refresh to see new entries.. why is that?

example:

I opened a new thread in the *NSYNC forum - 2 replies, I jumped over to the Christina Forum then jump back to the *NSYNC forum; the thread I started showed 0 replies !!?? then I press Refresh then it showed 7 replies :confused:

Kevin, once you subscribe to a forum it goes on your User CP page. If you bookmark that and come in first, you can go quickly to the forums that interest you like a shortcut or see who posted in them last.

Subscribe to a thread sends you an email everytime someone replies telling you who replied.

And once again....go to the User CP, select edit profile, go to the last section and choose Yes to turn on LD Formatting Options. Hit submit. You'll see the text options again.
