Holiday corrupt!
Gifts are for less fortunate
Not day for returns

Oh, poor St. Stephen
His feast, now a mockery.
Darn Canadians!

Guy Faukes Day: British.

Fete the Fire Starter.

Quandry: Is "fire" 1 or 2 syllables?

MerrySunshine
Dec 10th, 2001, 02:27 PM
One syllable, E
Unless you're in East Texas
Then it is "Fie-yur"

:p

Mer, friends call me El
Although E seems more special
I guess I'm Texan ;)

Are mailmen needy?
I hear they're paid pretty well
I'd walk for big bucks.

History lesson:
Christmas is for gifts to peers
Day after, poor folk

Gifts to the needy
Hence flesh and wine for peasant
from King Wenceslas

Poor folk gather 'round
Little something for the serfs
Now back to the field!

...but I was told Boxing day was when the newbies went around filling all the boxes of the vets around here. Private message prefferably.

Nothing like the holidays with a completely empty box and no PM around. :( :(

Now, McShake, try that
Heavy innuendo there
In haiku form, please

:D

Patrick McIrish
Dec 11th, 2001, 10:56 AM
Innuendo's? Me? Am I that transparent. :(

Okay let me look at the directions again. Don't have to rhyme right? 'Cause I used to be a poet and didn't know it. :)
