Hello Everyone,

I know this is a little late but with everything going on with my family over the last month or so and with the very tough holidays I have been slow to write this email.

First I want to thank everybody for there kind words of encouragement whenever we met during the last few months. *I also what to thank everyone for your kind emails.
This has been one of the hardest holiday times to get though and because of all of your kind words and emails my families pain has been soften a great deal.

As for the benefit concert for my Brother-in-law (Charles Karczewski) and for his good friend on coworker (Jim Berger) on Dec. 7th at the Stone Pony it was a great success we raised just over $3000 dollars that will be split between there two charities. My family thanks everyone who came and to everyone that brought raffle tickets or purchased any of my photographs that night. I also want to thank Bobby Bandiera and his band, Southside Johnny, Nils Lofgren, and all of the other artist that stopped by to jam after the Bruce Springsteen Concert in Asbury that night. I was a very special night for my family and for the Berger family. I also want to thank Maggie Powell and everybody at "The Wish" for there wonderful donation. I also want to thank everyone that donated prizes for the raffle that night and made the raffle a great success

I want to thank Joan & Xavier and everyone at the Stone Pony Fan Club in Spain. They dedicated there last fan magazine (#35) to my Brother-in-law.

I want to thank everyone a Backstreets Magazine, Point Blank Magazine and all of my European friends for your support.

Last but not least I want to thank Domenic, Eileen, Pete, and everyone at the Stone Pony. Everyone at the Pony has been such a great help to my family and are greatly appreciated.

I also want to thank everyone who has sent money to my brother-in-laws Memorial College Scholarship fund individually.

I also have a special thanks you everyone at the Live Daily Message board who raised over $3000 by selling specially designed tee shirts to raise money for my sister-in-law. I just found out about this a little over a week ago and this kindness has really touched my family a great deal. An extra special thanks goes to Stan Goldstein for his help in this project.

As a final note I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday and a Very Happy New Year
.
Thanks,
The John Cavanaugh Family

John,

We are very glad that the money we raised through the tee shirt drive was received by Mrs. Karczewski and our prayers have been with her during what must be a most difficult holiday season.

The idea to raise money by selling the shirts was the brainchild of one person, my dear friend Dari. Dari alone came up with the idea, designed, produced, and shipped all the hundreds of shirts that were ordered. We processed orders over the course of two months and she alone put in over 100 hours on this project. I know this was all explained on another thread, but in case you didn't read it I thought you should know how this all came about.

I was proud to work with Dari on this fund raising effort and on behalf of all of us who contributed to this project I would like Mrs. Karczewski to know that we will all keep her in our prayers and thoughts and hope that the money raised will helped her in some way.

May God Bless your family.

Yes Dari deserves the credit for this one.
I was just a middle man.
It was Dari's idea, her shirt and she generated the love from the Bruce Live Daily Community.

I must say, that selling the t-shirts and raising the money for this great charity, was nothing short of magical. In times of trouble, it seems as though someone or something always gives us faith to remember the good things in life. Me and my family have been truly blessed to be able to meet such wonderful people on the board (i.e., dari, sherry darling, stang, bossmom, doct, etc). It's all these random acts of kindness that keeps me coming back for more. God Bless you all, and I hope you have a wonderful new year! check ya later.
