O.L.D. ...a trivia test

well after not looking at this place for a month or 2, i was encouraged by many to come back and see what was happening here. after the wonderful and warm reception i got from my LD family for my birthday and my inevitable descent into madness and midlife crisis...i decided to take a look. and what the f**k do i see? is there even a category here that mentions bruce springsteen somewhere ???? if so , please let's find one shall we? is this now the site for everything but bruce? i mean cat problems????? come on. i love them too but let's get back to basics. i know i know. you think it's all been said and done. so if you're bored by answering the same damn things over and over then think up something new. or resort to drink as many have. but when you turn on this page and the first 10-15 subjects have nothing t all to do with bruce, i say it's time to revolt! overthrow the boredom and have a contest. the twist on this one is this.......

instead of the trivia test being about bruce....it is about O.L.D. that's original livedaily to folks out there in tv land. and the prize is a trivia test tee shirt or sweat that i found when cleaning my garage. i used to sell them at "she's the one" in venice in the 70's and 80's and therefore they unfortunately come only in the sizes i have left. but as i always say..hell ..IT'S FREE! and except for deadly disease i am always in favor of things that you get for free....

since i have more than one there will be 3 winners. those who score highest on this very hard test all about those who made this place what it is today and who are hopefully still out there. otherwise who the hell's gonna win this damned thing. so guess if you don't know. all you can be is wrong..right? and you may know more than you think. and music traveler says that this is her favorite tee shirt and actully flew down to la cause she wanted another one (she got one of the originals back in the 80's)..

2. 1CrazyLady, and that wasn't just a name.

3. Someone who owns a kitty, and thinks that in the absence of a tour there is nothing wrong with talking about a kitty, because after all, she has to listen to everyone talk about their kids.

4. First was Lucky, then Rosie, who is the biggest fan of Lucky in the world. They were born at the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN. They don't post much anymore.

5. Lucky is a bull and Rosie is a cow. I mean that in the nicest possible way.

6. I think it was NaughtySherry, although for some reason I thought she was allowed back and chose to withdraw on her own. I wasn't around much then as I was employed.

For the record, I called the "other" Sherry Darlin (g) the "naughty Sherry" after a cat fight of sorts broke out between the two regarding a thread in which some comments were made that the "nice" Sherry didn't want people to think that she made.

It was a rather hilarious thread as I recall, and out of it, "Naughty Sherry" was born.

Now, for ten bonus points: I had a thread removed because I was recounting a strange dream I had about the Merv Griffin show. Bruce was among the people in the dream. In the thread I referred to someone's armpit hair, and for that the thread was removed. Who's armpit hair was it?

first of all let me say that it was worth coming back to once again have bronx darren have me falling off my chair and laughing out loud. you never fail to do this bd...please don't stop!

i am amazed that so many here remember most of this stuff. i had no idea that i would be giving away so many trivia tees but it looks like we have more than 3 winners. i am really excited to see growing young on here and would have given her a shirt no matter what as she is small enough to fit into most of the ones that i have left.

here are all the correct answers and toots is right. no one got all of the "sisters" connections. i am surprised that sherry darlin did not post them as she is one of them and would know.

oh and i was the one who was coming back from phoenix in the middle of the night and hit the epicenter of the earthquake just as it hit around joshua tree. fortunately we were driving and screaming our heads off to the capital theater version of "thunder road" and didn't notice the earthquake at all until we pulled up to the only gas station for a pit stop and the cashier wouldn't let us in. when we asked why she ran around screaming "don't you people know we just had a 7.2 earthquake???". it was then we noticed that all of the things were off the shelves and broken. hell she should have gone to the show with us. it would have put her in a much better mood. didn't get to pee until LA. well since the rest of us didn't have access to exact dates, the answer to this was robinia. both she and jimmythesaint were the only ones that i can remember who signed on in august. most of us signed on in sept. and since she is the only one who stayed...she is the official "first" board member" here i guess.

i know she's famous for a lot of them now but when we all first met at the original BAT she told us she was making her world famous lasagna.now being that that is my favorite dish( my mom makes the best one ever) i was skeptical until i ate this. she deserves her rep for this thing and i never told my mom that she had competition in the lasagna making department.

i knew that muddy would remember this "tony from cambrigde.UK". the whole story is told hilariously by LSG who happened to be his seat mate for this fiasco and she was lucky not to get thrown out herself. why someone would fly all that way and pay all that money to try this and get thrown out twice...well it must have been the booze cause this guy was nuts!

12. what was the actual outcome of the "do we pick up bruce's dirty sox?" contest? yes or no? (hey this is a gift...you have 50/50 chance of getting it right!)
the answer was "yes". i remember who was in the "no" column and interestingly enough i have seen someone on here say that she is a "no" when her first email to me talked about how she couldn't believe anyone would say "no" to picking up after bruce. how quickly they turn!!!

well it meant telly savalas but it very well could be steve k. ljk wins a tee as she remembers the river tour comment bruce used to make about this.

now the sisters. there are more than most people remember. in fact there were 6 before we adopted "sisters" in every city.....and cousins and...well you get the idea.

My ex sister-in-law and I were escorted out of the Los Angeles Sports Arena during one of the shows for The River Tour for moving down from our upper level seats to a nice standing spot on a stairwell leading down to the floor area, in the first section in the front on the right hand side of the stage. We were warned several times before this very mean security guard took us to the door.

The best part of the story........I snuck back in!!!

I gave Bruce a bag of Tootsie Pops before a show and told him it was for him to have while he watched Kojak that night. He asked what it was, and I told him it was a surprise. He felt it and started to laugh. *sigh*
