In the past few years did you ever find your self sitting there wondering "Gee.. I wonder what Fred Savage is up to these days..The Wonder Years was such quality TV, and well I miss good ole Fred.."

Well, wonder no more.. He is in the new Austin Powers Movie Goldmember.. I saw the preview and apparently the person he plays has a mole on his face that could only be rivaled by that Latin Sex God Enrique Iglesias..

Fred Savage was in the doomed sitcom Working. Full cast of completely unfunny people with horrible writing. Still don't know why it failed.

I hope Bouncy is good in Goldmember. Fingers crossed.

Aah.. I remember Working.. That show was in syndcation no sooner it premered.. USA played it as part of their morning lineup..

Which I just never understood...Working which lasted for a year or two and then the one about the Yours, Mine and Ours family that lasted probably less time with Mel Harris and that guy who is all chin who played Kirk on Dear John. Did they use up all their syndication budget on Wings?

Fred looked surprisingly like himself in Goldmember. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.

They showed Katie Couric's big role in that movie on the Today Show this morning. Interesting turn for her as a prison guard with a unibrow. Wonder if Matt was jealous of that extra hair they gave her. :o

When does Goldfinger come out? I can't wait to see it! Even if Bouncy's in it. Shoot... I secretly kind of want to see it BECAUSE Bouncy's in it. Her hair is really bouncy too.

On July 26th, the secret will be exposed...

That's the tag line and after seeing the commercial with a naked Fat Bastard, I wish less of the secret had been exposed *insert pukey smiley I'm too lazy to go look up*

Britney is so heavily promoted in this film for her like 3 second cameo..

Ms. Knowles isn't even promoted as much and she's got a starring role..

I heard Tom Cruise has a cameo in this movie as well..

I can't stand Britney's little sister. If you've ever seen her in an interview you would know why. She is so cocky and arrogant.

Whenever they'd show reruns of The Wonder Years on TV Land nostalgia channel, I couldn't help but always get all misty eyed by the end of the show. That show always touched my heart, I wish it never had to end, and could have followed Kevin, Winnie and Paul's lives well into their 20's, and even 30's! When that show ended, it was a sad day! :(

They should have had a spin off The Winnie and Kevin show.. Winnie and Kevin get married and have a bunch of little brillo-headed children..

Okay, last night, to my surprise, they had an hour special on The Wonder Years on Biography. I loved it! It showed stuff that went on behind the scenes when they were filming the show, talked about the award winning writing and subject matter, interviewed all the cast members, then and now, and showed what they're all up to today.

Fred Savage is a college grad, and back in show biz, doing a lot of TV directing.

Danica McKeller (Winnie Cooper) has a math degree from UCLA, wrote & published a book on the subject, and is acting and directing again.

Josh (I forgot his last name, Paul Pieffer) is a graduate of Yale, and is engaged.

All the cast members, including the adults, keep in touch, and see each other quite often, they all said the 6 years on that show made them a "family" and life-long friends. Aw!

Did it mention anything about Olivia D'Abo? I think she played the older sister. I know she's been engaged to Thomas Jane (hottie) since 2000 but I havn't heard they got married yet. Maybe there's hope for me after all ;)

Wasn't there a rumour going around that the kid who played Paul was Marilyn Manson?

I did see it. And that is exactly what I've told my friends about it -- funnier than the last two. :)

Thomas Jane was outstanding in 61*. Freely outstanding.

One of the d'Abo girls was in a Timothy Dalton Bond flick. I get them mixed up so I don't know which one.

Whatever happened to Wayne. He used to be on just about everything in the 80s it seemed.

Though I think he peaked in that Monster movie he was in. What was it...Monster Squad? With Ryan Lambert and some kid named Andre...? Memory overload. Brain overheating...

Thomas Jane was good in *61. I was peeved that he didn't get an Emmy nomination but Barry Pepper did

Like Billy Zane's eyebrows, Barry Pepper's lips freak me out.

What other celebrity body parts unsettle you?

Pam's funbags?

Denzel's lazy eye?

Nicholas Cage's cgi hair?

Jerry Stiller's clown hair

The mole on Sarah Jessica Parker's chin

Cameron Diaz's pencil neck (though not all the time)

MerrySunshine
Jul 31st, 2002, 09:06 AM
Yes, I will agree with Sarah Jessica Parker's chin . . . but the whole chin, mole included. It's too pointy and severe . . . like it might cut you. I worry for Matthew Broderick. Actually, though, I like her hair so much better now . . . it was too blonde, too long . . . . It looks very cute now, compliments her complection and her pointy chin . . . .

While we're at it . . . did anyone see the first episode of Sex and the City this season? I did not need to see Miranda's boobs, nor did I need to see her "breastfeeding." All I could think about -- in fact, all I can think about when I think about that scene even now -- is "were those here real boobs or some sort of boob prostetics, whose baby was that, was that her baby, if it wasn't her baby and those were her real boobs, did she really let someone else's baby latch onto her boob?" I sort of freaked out . . . I guess.

NikDC
Jul 31st, 2002, 09:10 AM
I thought boob prostectics too since I hadn't heard of her having a baby and those were freakin' huge!

Definitely Peter Gallagher's eyebrows. There's something about Jude Law too but I can't put my finger on it.

MerrySunshine
Jul 31st, 2002, 09:16 AM
Huge, scary and she let the baby suck on 'em . . . . I mean, I did, I totally freaked out. :o

Peter Gallagher's lips are also sort of strange, actually . . . .

Tom Cruise's teeth and nose . . . they just seem slightly off-center to me . . . .

garnet
Jul 31st, 2002, 10:01 AM
I wondered about her boobs too. That was scary

Some other things that disturb me:

Ben Affleck's teeth
Sarah Jessica Parkers hands
The mole on Josh Hartnett's neck
Billy Joels eyes

I hate that.. Youd think she'd at least maybe draw some on or something.. Or take some of that hair off her head and have it surgically implanted on her eyebrows..

MerrySunshine

Why do some women pull out all or nearly all of their eyebrows? I mean, I, myself, give mine a good waxing (the Nair stuff is great) and pluck about once every two weeks, but I leave significant amounts of hair there in the brow . . . they are not pencil point thin . . . nor are they drawn on. I just don't understand the savage pluckery that goes on . . . .

Somehow Tom Cruise's "imperfections" go togther perfectly, ya know!?! He hasn't exactly suffered in the looks department!

I am so sick of hearing how "gorgeous" Julia Roberts is, please, she does have a smile & teeth like a horse, that grin is frightening!

I've always wondered about Whoopie's lack of brows, that can't be from too much tweezing/waxing, she must have been born without any....strange!

About Olivia D'Abo, she was also interviewed, looks great, and recently had a baby. Didn't mention any man in her life though!

I just remembered Josh's last name, Saviano. His nose is still large, but his face and body finally caught up to it. He must wear contacts now because he didn't have glasses on. Yeah, I remember the rumors about him and Marilyn Manson (Brian Warner) being one and the same person, not so of course!

garnet

No man in Olivia's life? How sad. NOT!!!

I knew this girl in high school that would shave off her eyebrows and draw them in everyday with an eyebrow pencil. When those suckers started to grow back they were like razors.

Spoke with a friend of my last night re: prostetic boobs thing . . . she said that she's seen an interview with Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) and that CN said that they were fakes . . . . My horror is somewhat allayed.

Also, that mole on Kim Cattrall's (sp?) mouth area bothers me . . . . This season she's looking sort of, er, old too . . . seems more wrinkled and maybe even a little drawn . . . .

I just find him too . . . er, elfin's not the right word b/c I like elf-like Chris Kirkpatrick . . . and he's not trollish b/c he's cuter than trolls like Danny DeVito and Steve Buscemi . . . . I definitely find him too nasal, though . . . . And his head's too big for his body. A condition I've found tends to afflict quite a lot of Hollywood, actually . . . .

NikDC

Lara Flynn Boyle as well...maybe it's like a Pez dispenser effect.

The thing that annoys me is how Brad Pitt looks so good all the time.. At least to me he does.. I mean for goodness sakes he looked sexy as a dead vampire, he looked good in Legends Of The Fall, and now he's got this really scruffy look going for him, and he still manages to look so friggin hot..

How is it that just about everything looks good on him? That damn Jennifer Aniston is one lucky gal..

I think Tom Cruise is attractive, but I don't go crazy over him! He's actually rather short for a leading man, only about 5ft. 9in., both his wives towered over him!

I have never thought that Brad Pitt was all that! Sexiest man alive, please! He looks like he hardly washes most of the time. Also the fact that he is a chain smoker really turns me off! And I realize that he grew that horrid scragly beard for a film part, but he looks like any other bum in it! I think he's highly over-rated!

Diva4230
Aug 2nd, 2002, 10:54 PM
My mother and I were just discussing Brad.. I could care less about his acting skills or anything.. But I don't know what it is about him, he just has something that I find attractive about him all of the time..

Maybe because I know what is lying behind all that mess of hair on his face.. I think that's Brad's biggest talent.. Being sexy without even trying..

Tom Cruise is sexy as well, what I find sexy about him is his entire personality.. He's like one of the worlds most famous actors, but yet he still seems so humble and so friendly..

garnet
Aug 3rd, 2002, 02:43 PM
Well, I guess Thomas Jane & Olivia D'abo aren't getting married after all. I saw in the latest issue of People that he asked his girlfriend Patricia Arquette (Nic Cage's ex) to marry him. Ewww...

Also in this issue....Ben Affleck and J Ho's hot romance. Please

Short of a nice view of Ron Livingston, I could have taken or left this last episode.
