"A little messy"...oh and personally I think meeting Rob Thomas at a TGI Friday's is more exciting than the BSB....just a personal opinion ;)

Oh but I must compliment you on the picture...its a great one of both of you!

All I have to say ISOJ is that you have more guts than I! And I can't wait to hear details! :)

Oh I don't get to see the applicants. On Friday we're going into the studio where there will be six guys they picked for Pamela, and six guys they picked for me. Then we get to choose who we want to go out with.

We were on the radio this morning, and we will be again tomorrow morning... they asked me if I ever "hit it" on the first date. And my parents were listening via the internet from Florida. Niiiice...

Wait! Can WE listen to you via the internet on Friday???? Tell them to put a camera in the studio so we can see too!

Ellen's favority station here in the Bay Area has a camera in-studio hooked up to their website..it's pretty cool, when it's working :)

Ok, now that I've read the website, all I have to do is click on the listen icon and voila! What time will you be on?

insearchofjason
Feb 27th, 2002, 11:57 AM
I know they use to have a webcam in the studio, but I don't think they do anymore. http://talk.livedaily.citysearch.com/images/icons/icon14.gif

We were on this morning at 6:15, and will be again tomorrow at 7:15, and then in the studio picking our boys on Friday morning... I don't know what time, but I have to be there at 6:05am!

Then of course we have to call and report in on Monday morning to tell how the date went.

Considering they had a divorce/child support/custody specialist on the show this morning, and all the male callers owned a trailer in Anoka, I'm not exactly holding my breath for Mr. Right.

Tried to ISOJ but I didn't hear you. I heard the DJs but if you were on exactly at 7:15 your time I must have missed you. When you're in there tomorrow make sure you tell Angi I think she's hot, ok? ;)

insearchofjason
Feb 28th, 2002, 06:54 AM
Angi IS hot!

We were on a little late... 7:30ish.

Tomorrow morning I have to be IN THE STUDIO (which is downtown) a little before 6am... I have to call a secret number from my car in the parking lot across the street... someone will come and get me, escort me up to the studio, and while in the studio we're going to play "The Dating Game" with six boys... asking them questions, etc...

Anyone want to help me? I have to think of 25 questions before tomorrow morning!

Short Chris
Feb 28th, 2002, 06:57 AM

Question numero uno...

"Who is your favorite Brady kid and why?"

If they can't answer this, they might as well go home.

Too bad the Virtual forum is gone...I had a few good dating game questions there.

My fave was:

At the end of the date, which movie would best describe the mood:

1. The Big Chill
2. Long Kiss Goodnight
3. Free Willy

vester
Feb 28th, 2002, 08:50 AM
Ask them if they had to build you a bookcase with shelves would it be:

a) Sturdy, without much innovativeness (is that a word?)
b) Kind of disoriented, but with a wicked design?
c) Haphazard, kind of slapped up with no thought to the process or whether you really like the end result or not.

Short Chris
Feb 28th, 2002, 08:54 AM
Other possibilities:

1) Which of these songs most accurately describes your love-making style:

A) Nice and Easy
B) Blitzkrieg Bop
C) Orgasm Addict

2) If you named your genitilia, which name would be most appropriate:

A) Thor - God of Thunder
B) Slim-Jim
c) Andre The Giant

Short Chris

Other questions for the Dating Game:

3) Do you still live with your parents?

4) Does your idea of a perfect date include any combination of bowling, NASCAR, or drag-queens?

LJK
Feb 28th, 2002, 09:54 AM
isoj, they don't seem to know who you are. Silly people!

insearchofjason
Feb 28th, 2002, 10:00 AM
Oohh... a drag queen question is a must!

Pamela wants me to think of her questions too... questions that fit her personality. I was thinking for her, something like "What is your favorite cardio machine at the club?" where my question would be something more along the lines of "What's your favorite flavor of Kool Aid?"

It's not about their answer... it's about their reaction to the question.

LJK

insearchofjason

If you could be a 12 year old girl that thinks sweaters are skanky, what thought process would you use to turn the sentence "BSB are getting high" into "skanky girl is getting high", while continuing to look at the world through your own pair of $3.99 rose colored glasses?

LJK
Feb 28th, 2002, 10:43 AM

You should ask who's on their laminated list.

Toss out anyone who says Pamela Anderson or Anna Nicole Smith.

I'd also throw out anyone who threw Enrique Iglesias into the mix as a general rule. ;)

insearchofjason
Feb 28th, 2002, 11:35 AM
Well at least with Enrique they'd have some taste. ;)

Questions I have so far... (and thank God for my "book of questions", I knew it would come in handy for something other than making conversation in the 80's forum.)

What is your favorite candy bar and why?

When you open your refrigerator and look inside, name three items that are ALWAYS there.

When is the last time you talked to your mom, and what did you talk about?

Does the fact that you have never done something before increase or decrease its appeal to you?

An eccentric millionaire offers to donate a large sum to charity if you will step completely naked from a car onto a busy downtown street, walk four blocks, and climb back into the car. Knowing that there would be no danger of physical abuse, would you do it?

If 100 people your age were chosen at random, how many do you think you’d find leading a more satisfying life than yours?

Who’s your favorite Brady kid, and why?

You are the feature star of Amateur Night at the Gay 90’s drag show, what song would you perform to?

They told us we can't have multiple choice questions.

Short Chris
Feb 28th, 2002, 11:35 AM
Ask them which one CD they would want to have if they were on a deserted island.

kentuckychic
Feb 28th, 2002, 01:07 PM
So I'm a little late.....ask them who their favorite Survivor is (or Real Worlder). That way if they say Jerri you know you can be absolutely hateful to them and they'll still like you. That can be either good or bad.

kentuckychic
Feb 28th, 2002, 01:11 PM
I've got another one.....ask them if they've ever been to Kentucky. If you're going for shock value that should work. KY seems to have a lot of comedic value.

Or hey, even better, you could call me up and ask them if they think I have an accent! ;) It'll completely bumfuzzle them.

NikDC
Feb 28th, 2002, 01:24 PM
See who their favorite decorator is on Trading Spaces.

What would they bring to the Utopian Bubble?

What have they purchased off of an infomercial and what was their opinion of it? --we can all always use the insight.

What tips do they have that could beat Martha Stewart?

Find out if they're any good at lyric quizzes...Lord knows, you could use the help :p

LJK
Feb 28th, 2002, 02:00 PM

Feb 28th, 2002, 02:03 PM

Ask them for a haiku!

kentuckychic
Feb 28th, 2002, 02:15 PM

insearchofjason
Feb 28th, 2002, 02:30 PM
Done. :D Thanks for everyone's help!

1. What is your favorite flavor of kool-aid?
2. When you open your refrigerator and look inside, name three items that are ALWAYS there.
3. When is the last time you talked to your mom, and what did you talk about?
4. Does the fact that you have never done something before increase or decrease its appeal to you?

8. Who’s your favorite Brady kid, and why?
9. Which Survivor do you most closely relate to?
10. You’re about to pack your things and move into a Utopian Bubble for the rest of eternity. You can only bring one person with you… who would you choose?
11. Have you ever purchased something from an infomercial? If so, what was it, and what’s your opinion on it?
12. Tell me about a household hint that even Martha Stewart would be envious of.
13. You’re the featured drag queen at the Gay 90’s Amateur Night show… what song do you choose to perform to?
14. What is your favorite color Sharpie marker?
15. Would you accept twenty years of extraordinary happiness and fulfillment if it meant you would die at the end of the period?
16. If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one ability or quality, what would it be?
17. Recite a haiku.
18. What was the last concert you’ve been to?
19. Considering you had permission first… who’s bedroom would you most like to spend the afternoon looking through?
20. Of all the nice things someone could truthfully say about you, which one would make you feel the best?
21. If you agreed to sell your bike to a friend and then someone offered you more money, would you go back on the bargain?
22. If you could be invisible for a day, what would you do?
23. What’s your favorite fast food restaurant?
24. What are you afraid of?
25. Have you ever had a reoccurring dream? If so, what was it about?

And for those of you playing along at home... I'm going to ask #6 to the boy that I like the most.

What a morning...

Nik, I used the Grammy acceptance speach question... he thanked God and then his parents. :)

It was the most brain racking thing I've ever done. You all know me... I don't pay attention to much of anything. So to ask me to concentrate on asking questions, while taking notes on their answers, while looking for the next question, while dealing with headphones on or headphones off, while dealing with talking .28 inches from the microphone... it was all too much for this girl.

I wound up closing my eyes, putting my finger on the paper, and my finger landed on number two. I have no clue what his answers were...

Pamela's guy won't shut up and my guy won't speak. It'll be an interesting evening to say the least. One of the boys was HAWT.... wished I would have picked him.

Sweet, adorable Cory woke up at 3am this morning so he could go into the office and listen/record it for me. :) So I'm about to re-listen to the whole thing.

Oh, and I got to meet Samantha Mumba. Woo hoo. Kidding, she's sweet.

The date:

We show up at the place right on time, and my date (Dan) is waiting at the table... already has the tickets, and brought me flowers. Pamela's date is 45 minutes late and what does he bring? A wooden box that when you open it, a little rubber mouse jumps out at you. Don't get me wrong, it's hysterical. But it wasn't for her to keep. Just a "prop" to break the ice.

We have dinner and drinks and play some games involving tequila, quarters, and THE TRUTH... and somewhere in the fourth quarter of the game, we decide to actually GO to it. So we leave the dinner place and walk down the street to the game. Pamela, me, and Troy are running and having fun and acting like the 15 year olds we are, while Dan (my date) walks 20 feet behind us and keeps repeating "I don't know these people!" to himself.

So we get to the game and watch the five minutes that are left. After the game Troy (Pamela's date) and I run around asking little kids if they want any candy, and then watching them go into little kid cardiac arrest when the mouse jumps out at them. Pamela was bored with the mouse by now... and Dan... well, Dan was just boring.

That's when we decided to go into a bar so Pamela and I could simply use the bathroom... and THAT'S where the fun began! We have aquired this little psuedo celebrity status, and everywhere we go people recognize us. We're getting stopped by random strangers who want to know how our date went, why we did it, if we'd like to go out sometime... really bizarre. Anyway, the bathroom break took 45 minutes because of our newly created fan club, and after we got out of there we decided to put Dan out of his misery and say goodbye. Dan went home.

Pamela, Troy and I went to the 90's to see a) if he could hang, and b) Joel's new tan (he just got back from Hawaii). We hung out there for awhile and then decided to go dancing... where the celebrity status was in effect again. Boys everywhere telling me they sent their picture in to go out with me... boys asking if they could get their picture taken with me... I lost my jacket, and one guy even gave me his leather coat and his business card and said "I trust you to call me." That reminds me... I have to call him. After dancing we went to Pizza Luce, where again all we hear is "It's the KDWB girls!" or "Oh look! It's Mary and Pamela!" Another guy wanted his picture taken, and a middle aged bowler asked me out on a date. I ate my rice krispy bar while making Pamela go up to random strangers (including a Ken Barlow lookalike) and asking them for their autograph.

It all ended with Troy telling us we need to take out a big life insurance policy because we're the craziest girls he's ever met.

And that was it. :)

Then this morning we're on the radio again... summing the date up for the DJs. Dan apparently had a really really great time... rated the date a 10 and told his entire family about it over the weekend. ??? Coulda fooled me! Pamela was overly nice saying that we'll all definately be going out again (which we won't) and I told her later "Thanks... because now bachelor #5 (Paul) is never going to call me if he thinks I really did have a great time." Shoot.

In the meantime, I don't care because CORY'S COMING IN A MONTH! :D

What an awesome night!
Too bad you're date was a bore. Glad to see you made the most of it anyway.
Can I have your autograph? ;)

We'll remember. :) You're the closest thing we've ever had to a celebrity on this board.

At the top of the page in little bitty letters it says something about a morning show. When you click on that even smaller words appear above that. Click on "What's New" and scroll down.

Those pictures are great!
And I was going to comment how much I love that jacket and saw it was stolen. That's awful.
Troy kind of looks somewhat alien looking.
I love the guy obsessed with Pamela. Although at first I thought it was a woman.

:D

That whole thing was so cool. Wish I had been around to offer my questions though. LOL. I would have hated to answer those, even knowing ahead of time what they were. Wow.

That one picture you look like you were feeling no pain! Blinking my butt, that was the look of intoxication! :) Anyway that looked like fun, thanks for sharing to those of us that have no life!! ;)
