Fave Hockey Team

So, here's a question for all the hockey fans. Whose your faveorite team and why?

Mine is the Detroit Red Wings, because they are the best NHL team ever! I mean c'mon, ten Stanley Cups!!!!!!

:D The location says it all!! Detroit Red Wings all the way baby!! Not because I'm from Detroit, but they just have so much talent on that team with Stevie, Shanny Mac and them. It's gonna be so weird this year seeing Lewis behind the bench instead of Scotty, but he'll do a good job and we're gonna win our 11th Cup, and 4th in 6 years!! GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!

The Colorado Avalanche, but the Toronto Maple Leafs come a close second. I'm not to keen on drunken Eddie between the pipes though. :o

Well Stacy, I guess you are my new enemy. The AVS suck and as a hard core red wings fan I take no mercy[laughing] And MUSIK i agree with you about Lewis. But at least they got a coach who already knows the guys and has their trust

LOl I was thinking the same thing when I read it, but decided to be nice, but watch out, as soon as the season starts, the claws will definately come out! And another thing about Dave is that since he's been around Scotty so long, he'll know what works with the guys and what doesn't.

Let's put it this way, who would you rather have in net for the Stanley Cup Finals - Curtis Joseph or Patrick Roy?

IMO, the Wings will NOT repeat. Not as long the Stars, Avs and the Sharks mysteriously vanish from existence.

And while ten Stanley Cups is a great accomplishment, compare that to Montreal's 20+. ;)

ya ya, Montreal has ten more, but REMEMBER. Not only has Monteal been around much longer than the WINGS but Hockey is their national sport and Canadiens are bred for hockey. :)

I'm a Blues fan too! I've been a fan for only a few years now and don't follow it quite as much as baseball. Is it true that they are the only sports team in the world to make it to a playoffs for 20+ consecutive years?

I am another Blues fan, but I am not into as much as Baseball and Football. I was actually a bigger Blues fan before the Rams started winning. Now maybe this year I will be a bigger Blues fans, the way the Rams are playing its a big possiblity.
Actually. . . its going to be hard to watch the Blues this year, where I go to school, the only Blues games I get are the ESPN games, and whenever they play the Blackhawks. I hate not having Fox Sports Midwest up here!!!!!

I love the Detroit Red Wings!!!
and I would love it if they win again, but they will have big trouble against the Dallas Stars and the Colorodo Avalanche, I think the only goalie that can beat Patrick Roy is Dominik Hasek and Hasek has retired, so I don't know, IMO I don't think CUJO can beat Patty Roy, but anything is possible.
I don't feel that red wings are gonna win this year, i felt that they were gonna win last years stanyley cup and they did because of Dominik Hasek "THE DOMINATOR", but now we don't have him. DARN IT.

I think Dallas are gonna win, if not Colorado, if not Detroit.

Vancouver's had an excellent season. My second fave Canadian team. Bertuzzi and Naslund are magic together. :eek: Bertuzzi's your ultimate definition of what a power forward should be.

I'm only rooting for one team to come out from the west, and that's Colorado. Peter Forsberg has got to be one of the most talented players in the league. Plus with Hejduk and Sakic, whom
I just love.

And they have a good goalie too, I think his name is Patrick Wah? ;)

Bert & Nazzy *are* magical 2gether. Morrison rocks too. They're quite the lineup. That's me & my friends w/ Morrison in my avator... not that you can tell that it's him. LOL

I don't really have a 2nd fave team. I *do* like the Avs though. Not happy that they're only 4 points behind us, but I like Burnaby Joe.

Yeah, I'm hoping that we can take out the Blues & the Stars. I'm a lil worried about 'em... we haven't been doing so well against 'em lately!

Morrison's very good also. Vancouver can make it past the first round, maybe even the second, it depends on who they will face, and it really depends on the play of Cloutier. The Stars may have Edmonton or I think Anaheim first round, I'm rooting for an upset. :D

I'm hoping that the Canucks go ALL the way! I'm unsure as to how they'll actually do though. They seem to have their up & downs. For ex, their loss to Anaheim. It would be awesome if Vancouver made it to the finals again. Just as long as there isn't another riot like therewas in '94. That was ridiculous!

Longsuffering Blues fan here. I will admit though, the Blues did better than I thought they would this year. I really thought management was running to the bank and letting the team fade.

The Blues have some talent, it's just not enough to challenge deep into the playoffs. Getting by Colorado will be next to impossible, especially if the Blues don't have home ice advantage. :(

awwwww i remember that..i was 9 years old..i was a crazy little girl obsessed with the canucks (which i still am) haha...it was crazy..the whole city..went crazy..i had canucks signs all over my house windows and even on our family van..lol and everywhere u went it was all canucks fever...man...they totally should have won!! and when they lost..i cried soooo much! lol. i was a crazy little kid. but i think i still would cry now if that happened again..but hey..i'm soooo happy that TREVOR LINDEN is back in our team! :)

im saying it b/c it seems like some of the fans that are cheering for tb are ' bandwagonish' just b/c they cheer on the team b/c they are so far into the stanley cup...nd i doubt those ppl would still like them forever... or after the summer nd hockey starts again...meh just my 2 cents, lol :scratch:

Your right...there are a few of the TB fans that are only there because they have made it this far....and it's sad. I'm a fan of TB through thick & thin...that is what a true fan is all about!
