Just got back from the TV taping!! **spoilers**

Let me get settled, and I'll fill everyone in on all the details :D

Ok, I know most of you are asleep, or anxiously awaiting who's gonna be the next president, but I just got back from the Christina Christmas TV concert special!!

Okay, so the taping lasted about 3 hours long and she sang 15 songs!! I couldn't believe she sang that many. Her voice was amazing, the best I've ever heard her live! On the side of the stage there was a screen that said: Christina Aguilera My Reflection. So I'm guessing that'll be the name of her special.

In order she sang:

Reflection--I almost died!! I was so sad she didn't sing it on her tour, so I was very happy she sang it tonight.

Genie in a Bottle

Come On Over Baby-- before she sang this song, she "switched" places with the cameraman, and held the camera while he sang. She was like "this camera's heavier than me!" There were way more dancers than normal.

WAGW--before she sang, all her dancers came out in old-style clothing, like in her video.

So Emotional-- And the speculation begins ;)

I Turn To You

Merry Christmas Baby--Dr. John played piano while she sang.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas--You guys ready for this?.....
She sang with Brian McKnight on it! It was amazing!! Their voices really harmonized!

At Last--she talked about the blues and Etta James before she sang this song.

Contigo en la Distancia

Climb Every Mountain--she talked about the Sound of Music and how Julie Andrew's voice inspired her. At the end, she sang with kids and then a Gospel choir.

Falsas Esperanzas--she had a cool outfit to go with I think new choreography.

All Right Now--she performed this song in concert too, but she did this alone, with no dancers. She was really getting into it :D

Christmas Time--This song was awesome!! She came out in this really cute red outfit, there were lots of dancers, an all new dance, then at the end, they started throwing gifts and then it started "snowing". There were big machines blowing out fake snow, tons of it!!

Oh yeah, one more "cute" thing....when she was about to sing "At Last" her stylist or whatever, put this horrid white fur wrap on her shoulder. Christina was asking her if looked better on her left or right shoulder. The audience was murmuring because it was so icky, and Christina was like "with or without". Well, everyone yelled "without!" so she threw the fur shawl thing to her stylist. She was like "See I listen to my fans...what?!" I guess "what" really is her new favorite word ;)

Hey guys, I went too :). IT was a lot of fun but I was so tired towards the end. Her hair had red and light blue streaks in it and it was kind of fluffy like the RMAS but not as much. Ariel are you going again tonight? I'm not sure if there's another taping.

Erika, the stage was just about the same as her concert set-up, with the metal poles and all. But there was an orchestra at the top, and the stage came out on both sides of the audience.

Lynn, yes there is a second taping tonight. I don't know of what though. She already sang 14 songs (I mis-counted), but only 3 of them were Xmas, so maybe more Christmas songs. LOl....Christina rocks, what? :p

de7il, I was just as excited as you!! The audience screamed so loud for him. They actually sang their song twice. It was even better the second time.

sp@rkle, I was wondering the same thing. I don't know how they're possibly gonna dwindle this down to 1 hour. If they do, they're gonna cut ALOT out! :(

yeah Lauren, I had a blast! and juju, yes we were able to take pictures, but I didn't.

At first I had horrible seats, 10 rows from the back in the balcony. Then we were able to fill the seats that hadn't been taken yet, so we got down to 7th row balcony which was significantly better ;) For the last three songs we sat in the first row of balcony.

Yet another "cute" thing....when she first came out, on the big screen they were playing a tape of little Christina singing "Where Do Broken Hearts Go", then the screen separated and she walked out.

Her clothes were cool, she had quite a few wardrobe changes. She had everything from elegant dresses to belly shirts ;)

What was the highlight of the show??? What song did she blow everyone away on vocally??? There were a couple highlights of the show for me...Reflection, which she didn't sing live on her tour; At Last, which I've never heard live (yes it was as good as MSB); and the finale, Christmas time. Christmas Time was so energetic, she was dressed in a really cute outfit, there was dancing I've never seen and it "snowed"!! :D

oh, when she sang GIAB, she added a spanish ad-lib...uh...she did it at the Latin Grammy's if you remember...I forget how it goes.

She did a little intro before CELD, where she talked about her roots, etc.

Ah, I feel like a little girl (hehe) But anywayz, I wanted to know, in addition to what I before asked...she had a couple of costume changes, right? More than she had on her tour? Was their any pyro or fire, cause I know she had some on her tour? Did she wear a lot of heels or instead *dancing* shoes? And did she look really pretty (there's not many times, at all, that she doesn't but cool to still ask)? All right...thats all I wanted to know. Thanks ariel! :)

LOL, Erika, I'm as excited to see it as you! They were totally different outfits than what she had on tour....she had on a white outfit, similar to her tour outfit, then a denim-colored pant-suit (i'm not sure what you call it--kinda like a cat-suit) with a little white shirt underneath, a black and white striped long dress, a very elegant long black strapless dress, a spangly black/dark blue pant&belly shirt outfit, and the red outfit (from where I was sitting, it looked like velvet, with poofy cuffs) with a white belly shirt underneath. I don't remember her shoes, but I remember she had on strappy heels when she was in the dresses. Even when she was funky or elegant, she still had the red streaks in her hair. Looked kinda awkward. She looked basically how she looked at the RMA's. The red was a little toned down though. That's all I can remember! :)

I just wanna add another highlight for me, Brian McKnight. That was really great when he sang w/ her. other than that I have the same hightlights as Ariel. But during Christmas Time,Christina didn't do the little rap.

I went to the show too. It was soo awesome. There was a lot of waiting (got there at 4:45, didn't get in until about 6:30), but it was all worth it! I had pretty good seats (Orchestra, Row 9) and I did take pictures. I'll make sure to post them when I get them developed! I still haven't developed the pics from her Universal Amphitheatre concert. LOL. Don't worry! I'll develop the pictures this week! When the show airs on ABC, look for me on TV. Me and my friend made signs on pieces of paper. From what I saw, there were only a couple of people with signs. Christina even glaned at us and I started freaking out! Also, they let about, I'm guessing, 50 people go right in front of the stage. I wanted to shoot those people! LOL. They're so lucky! Out of all the people that I was sitting around, I think I was the biggest fan because I was the only one singing every word of every song and screaming extremely loud. There was this one part where she messed up the lines and she was like "I just can't get the part right" and I yelled out, "It's okay, Christina!" LOL. I think I was bothering people with my loudness, but I didn't really care. I had a blast! Okay... I'm just going on and on now. Bye!

Anyways, I just showed one of those people my letter and she gave me the tickets and I screamed for joy. :D She was gonna give us crappy tickets at first, but then she was all, "Oh, you wouldn't want those." I guess I got pretty lucky, huh? I coulda sworn I had eye contact with Christina. LOL.

I know you mentioned 3 hours, but surely it didn't take 3 hours to sing 14 songs. How long was the actual show itself? Even so, it would be difficult to fit 14 songs into an hour network program, especially with the commercial interruptions and what not. I would expect the network to cut the hell out of it. I suppose that it's possible but highly unlikely that they will set aside two hours of primetime for it, unless it's heavily sponsored with frequent commercials. It would seem such a waste to cut any part of such an ideal show, but then that may be why she sang so many songs, so they would have more to choose from when producing the final show.

ariel23, this concert was WAY better than the Universal Amphitheatre concert! I had great seats, free parking (I parked way far by a Jack in the Box), and the whole thing was free! LOL. I have to develop my pictures this week.

I just realized how late I'm responding. Oh wells. :D

Someone posted about the 2nd taping, but I forgot who it was. All I remember is Lil Bow Wow was the surprise guest and he rapped in So Emotional and he took over Christina's rap part in Christmas Time.

yeah shyguy went to the second taping. She didn't re-sing some songs and Lil Bow Wow was her guest.

Erika, yeah there were alot of people there! It was a very loud crowd too. However, the top maybe 15 rows in the balcony were empty. People started leaving as the night wore on. Everyone got there at 4 or 5, the tickets said 6:30, they let us in around 6:15 and they didn't start taping until 8 or so. She'd sing one song then leave for a wardrobe change, then come back (mysteriously in the same outfit) and sing one song, then all over again. That's why it took so long to tape.

Mark...uh you will NOT see me on TV, lol!! There was a camera up there, but I bet there'll be no distinguishable faces :p , but thanks anyway :)
