Do y'all think Fox was smart in booting Frenchie?

Maybe for rating purposes, just maybe. I think in a way though she woulda made a good "American Idol" in the sense that it's a popstar "America" (or kids who look up to pop stars, whatever) can look up too. Think about it... yeah, she made a mistake in life, but now she seems to have recovered from that, bounced back... and trying to be a positive image. Some people might have gotten out of jail, trying to put their life back together... they could have a positive star to look up too. Do you guys kinda understand what I'm getting at here?

Some people look at it that way. Ya know Madonna... she had all those problems in the past, and now she's all good, people can identify with that. or look at Britney, she doesnt have the greatest voice in the world, but she's making do with what she has, she has that "image" of "making do with what she has"... you see? :)

Fantasia... had a child at what I think is a young age for having a child, and didn't get married. She's a great role model for those young single moms out there with their children, maybe trying to get through school and what not... it's like the song says, "finally... I believe"... so.... yeah.

So it goes both ways :), I can maybe see what FOX was trying to do... BUT, I do see how a big positive could of came out of it also.

I honestly didn't catch that portion of the 2nd season of AI...I didn't tune in til after she was booted off so I have no clue how talented she was or anything, but if they can have people on there with criminal records and such, I dunno why the couldn't have kept her...but I guess if there's some rule stipulating, then they had to go through with it...so I dunno..who really know

And Nikki was a stripper and she was able to continue on the show..

That was season 1 though, and I think the thing behind that was... they didn't know how successful the show was going to be at that point, or anything really. Season 2 they were more aware that the show was a big deal, and they knew it was a family show and such... so they monitored it a little more closely.

Just my thoughts :)
