Well, where I live, you have to be 16 1/2 to get your permit and then you have to be 18 to be able to get your driver's license (but you have to have someone 21 or older, who's had their license for 1 year, be with you while you have your permit at 16 1/2).

well I might said it the wrong way... but b4 1st July it was like that (16yrs: permit to drive with an adult, and 18yrs: driver licence..) but now its like if u'r born after 1st July 2003 u'll have to first take a course b4 u can drive with an adult.. and since my b'day is 4th August I'll have to do that.. its really unfair.. :(
