View Full Version : Where did I go wrong?

Where did I go wrong? My daughter, In Denial, was home for the weekend from college. I tied her to a chair so she could benefit from the BSB TRL, Making the Video and Howie at Playboy. I don't know how I could have raised her so wrong. She still doesn't like them. She hates Kevin's hair, she doesn't like Nick AT ALL, she thinks he just looks like Charlie Brown, (shaking head rapidly in disbelief) (the child is in desperate need of a mental evaluation and help.....NOW), she likes Brian okay and she thought the Howie/Jesus thing was funny (grrr) (I don't see why we aren't allowed to kill our young) and she thinks AJ is just weird. She doesn't like SOMH (I need to get the maternal parentage on her birth certificate changed IMMEDIATELY) and was bummed that the TRL voting didn't pick As Long As You Love Me?!?!? She was not enchanted by the tricks that the action figures could do either. She wants AJ's house just like a lot of the rest of us, but doesn't want him along with it (is she insane?)! I repeat, where did I go wrong??? Three kids and not a BSB lover among 'em. What can I do? It's a wee bit too late to miscarry them. Wait......there was a Matlock about a poison that was undetectable. But wait......if it was, then how did Matlock know? Ideas? I'm open. This abomination cannot continue. They said the first thing they're going to do when I die is flame and/or trash my BSB stuff first and they absolutely refuse to have me cremated and pass me around every 4 months. The Hater knocks Howie down whenever he passes by him and when he gets bored he's still hollering "Boys! (on the tv)" every now and again just to see me come running. You know how it is. When you hear, see or smell anything Backstreet, you just go on automatic pilot and the brian kicks in later. Unnatural children!!!

oMG! I know exactly how you feel. I had a couple extra Howie action figures hanging around(what can I say, I went to BK constanly that first week!) and as I came home from grocery shopping the other day a terrible sight met my eyes. My nasty little 12 year old and his dweeby little Korn/Limp friends were in the driveway decapitating and torturing poor Howie! Actually one was even running over one of the action figures with his bike. The dog was even in on it. She sat there calmly chewing a Howie leg as if it
were a milkbone! I was screaming bloody murder as I frantically ran around the driveway scooping up Howie parts! Talk about unnatural children! Well at least I can guarantee the little terror will not do that again! The punishment-----sitting and watching BSB tapes all afternoon. Mom's sweet revenge!

You guys crack me up!!! Geeze, threaten to have your will changed to go completely to BSB, or to start a BSB museum, with your children named as the directors of the museum!!!! Also, as far as destroyed BSB stuff, so far nothing has been decimated, but I bought a large shadowbox for my daughter to keep all of her stuff in, programs, confetti, ticket stubs, Kevy's hat, AJ's autographed program picture, the BK stuff, etc, so all of it is under glass and anyone who would open that huge shadowbox would be missing a few body parts after the fur flew!!!!!!

Oh, I forgot. When she heard the audience on TRL sing the part of SOMH that they sang with AJ doing the hand motions, she was like, "How do you all know the song already? The album isn't out yet?" I'm like, "Get real. Helloooooo, we're BSB fans and we're special in the head. We know all, see all and hear all, BSB-wise."
I've told her quite a bit about what we get up to on the board and you know what? She thinks I am the sanest person on this board http://talk.livedaily.com/docs/tongue.gif because she says she knows I'm crazy, but you all actually listen to me like I'm sane. She says that makes you all worse!

Geeze....LMAO!!!! I have said it before so I won't repeat myself too much...but you definitely need to do something with your wit and writing ability!!
Somebody with a high profile BSB web site ought to give you a regular column! You are like the Erma Bombeck of BSB fans (at least older ones)!
Keep torturing your kids and I'll keep entertained!

Thanks Geeze, for the humor. It's always fun to read your posts. I once told my daughter for her punishment she'll have to accompany me to the next BSB concert, but now the heck with that, I'll just buy myself an extra tix for another night. Not going to waste my money and have her sulk all night!

Hi Geeze,
I finally got to the board tonight and it's time to go to bed, but I have to tell you this.
My 13 year old son wanted to rearrange his room this weekend. He broke his arm on Wednesday in gym (this is my drummer, remember)so I'm helping him since he's all bummed out about the arm, the cast, the needing help, etc.
We move his night stand and there among the dust bunnies is his BSB concert ticket stub from March. He went with me but had a tough time because he had a sprained ankle and there was a lot of walking and standing. Do you see a running theme here?
Anyway, he went to toss the ticket stub in the trash but then realized that I may want it and blew the dust off and gave it to me. He's a real sweety.
We spent the rest of the evening doing his homework since it's his right hand and of course he's right handed. He dictates and I write for him, so we did Spanish and American History.
Should be a fun couple of weeks. And I'm bummed about the drumming, I miss it already.

*Suggestion for da Geez...
Tie her to the chair and make her watch QPG. Freeze frame it on Howie's chest, using the slo-mo fwd and then stop it again when it gets to Nick. Capture the image of a wet Nick (yup, we all know a wet Nick is a good Nick) and paste it to her eyelids.
That should do the trick in a matter of days http://talk.livedaily.com/docs/wink.gif

Ummm, Suej, you could do the drumming FOR him while he's out of commission.

Geeze,
I've tried the drumming, it's harder than it looks. Technically I can figure out what should be done but I can't make it sound like he does. I have no in-born talent. He's just a natural. And I have to count 1-e-and-a, 2-e-and-a, 3-e-and-a, 4-e-and-a, the whole time.
He's always had rhythms in his head. I have videos of him in his high chair and he would head bang the backrest repeatedly and then just grin, and then do it all again and just laugh in that way that toddlers do when they are just amusing themselves.
And we'd be stopped at a red light and the car would feel like it was going to stall, and doing a little shake, and it would be him, kicking out a rhythm while in his carseat.
Thank goodness he turned out normal!

You guys are always craking me up. Thanks for your sense of humor and for sharing your stories.
Geezer I'm stealing your quote "we're BSB fans and we're special in the head" I absolutely love that one.
Hang in there ladies, hopefully one day your children will come around and see the beauty that is BSB.
