I opened a thread like this in the soccer forum and it turned out some really good quotes. I thought perhaps we could find good quotes from tennis players or anything to do with tennis. They don't have to be funny although the funny ones are good. I just found this one.
"I was just making sure that his son's not doing anything before my son did."
Andre Agassi on a call he made to Pete Sampras.

Well, I like mostly all of them. I like the French, Wimbledon and US Open, but I think I would want to win the US Open because my brother won there.
Dinara Safin(Watch out for her. Apparently, she has the same temper than her bro on court.)
TW: What happens if you break up?
MV: I guess he has to find another secretary or something or a lady (laughs). (What the guys will do without women?Roger's girfriend on helping Roger managing his career.Their management team is called Hippo In-house Management)
Jonh Mcenroe once said that you need to be arrogant to be a tennis player.

Bill Threllfall: It surprises me Roddick has so many fans. Roddick doesn't seem to me like someone who is likeable, on court, not that he's nasty.
Peter Fleming: Oh, he has charisma, Bill. He just has a thing about him that says 'I'm going places, wanna come with me?' And people do.
BT: Oh yes, definitely.
(British commentator Bill Threlfall slightly contradicting himself there.)

Martina Hingis has no class sometimes. She really needs to stop hanging out with Steffi Graf. I don't like the influence that she has on her.

Well the controversy has started between Ljubicic and Roddick. Ivan said he didn't like the way he acts on court, that if it had been anywhere else he would have beaten Andy, that he uses the crowd too much and intimidates the line judges and umpires. He also said that no-one likes him in the locker room(which he later corrected by saying not everyone)and that they'd said that they hope he(Ivan) whooped Andy's butt. Roddick in reply said:
"I think that's pretty much sour grapes. I don't know how ‑‑ I don't know if I yelled "yes" before the linesman even called that ball or anything. I mean, I think the linesmen do their job. You know, I don't know if anybody saw the replay, but I'm pretty confident that that ball wasn't out. Maybe he was hoping it was out. That really doesn't deserve a response. I don't think that's very respectful. I definitely don't have anything bad to say about him. So it's disappointing...
I try to treat everybody with a lot of respect. You know, I'm not mean to people. You know, I'm very courteous to people. You know, that's their prerogative. You know, I'm not worried. I'd be worried if I was doing things that I thought were causing that. But, you know, I try to treat everybody with respect."
A long quote I know but I liked it. Here's a more funny one
INTERVIEWER: Relieved it didn't go to a fifth, yeah?
ANDY RODDICK: (Shaking his head yes.)
No, actually I wanted to play five. I definitely wanted to try to lose that fourth set and test the waters in the fifth (smiling).

Apparently so LOL.
Q. If you start thinking about all those things, you got to worry about the next point, isn't that what...
ANDY RODDICK: I don't know, man. I'm not smart enough to think about a bunch of things. I'm very simple. You guys are giving me a lot more credit than I probably deserve.

Roddick used to be asked every other day "How does it feel to be the future of American tennis?" They've asked him this since the beginning of his professional career to this year! It got very old. If he was asked it once he was asked it 100 times. Roddick came into his press conference after he won the U.S. Open final and said:
"No more, "What's it feel like to be the future of American tennis" crap! No more."
LOL, it made me laugh.

As a youth, Federer was far more like the fiery German than the cool Swede. “I was hotheaded, always acting bad on the court, throwing my racquets like ten meters in front of me, or into the curtain,” Federer says sheepishly. “My parents hated it. When I acted badly and lost, they would say nothing during the car ride home, which was the worst. But I just couldn’t keep my emotions under control.”
He repeatedly tried to get Federer on his cell phone, but he woulnd’t answer – his player was afraid Lundgren was going to chastise him for being out late
