On TRL today Suchin said the Rumor is Britney and Madonna are going to perform ... LIKE A VIRGIN!!!!!

the trl mention kind of makes me think it won't happen. mtv is usually tight lipped about their surprise performances. maybe they figure the cat is out of the bag already though.

On the Xtina board they are saying it's not Brit, but Christina performing with Madonna.

i think brit and madonna would be really cool

Actually Britney and Madonna are quite chummy these days. It's rumored to be a tribute of Madonna's performance at the first VMAs which was held 20 years ago. So it wouldn't surprise me if it did happen, but I don't think it is.
