Friends Worry As Ruben Studdard Tops 400 Pounds

Worried pals tell the National Examiner that 'American Idol' champ Ruben Studdard has continued to balloon, taking on 50 pounds more than his 350 pound days on the Fox hit series. "Ruben was big when he first came to 'American Idol'," an insider said. "And he's continued to get bigger. He's close to 400 pounds now." The shocking weight could put the crooner's life in jeopardy, says New York weight loss doctor Stacy Title. "At 400 pounds, Ruben is at high risk for heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and other diseases associated with obesity. He needs to get down to 220 or 250."

Based on the Rolling Stone article about Ruben it appears that the difference between Clay and Ruben are night and day. Ruben appears to be "living large" (pardon the pun) on the wave of his newfound success and popularity by partying, get'n down with the ladies, and eating to his heart's content the best of everything that he can get his hands on. I just hope this is a phase he is going through and he pulls out of it before it's too late!
