Was he supposed to go to school and he didn't?

Well originally he was supposed to go into the Coast Guard, but that fell through(I think I told you the story, maybe not), and he was devastated. After that ordeal he decided he was gonna go to school to become an electrician. The school was an hour away so he was gonna go rent an apartment with some friends, but he decided to go to a local community college instead because he could still live at home and be close to his job.

Actually, and this is gonna sound really selfish, I'm kinda glad it fell through. With all the turmoil in the world these days, he coulda been stationed in the Middle East. If that had happened, I'd have gone crazy. I wouldn't have been able to sleep until he came home.

That's just me overreating and caring too much, but I've played the scenario in my head over and over, and I thank God it didn't happen.
