No, I don't think that Clay Aiken is going to win; it will most likely go to Justin Timberlake. But it was surprising that he got a nomination against all that big talent. I believe that "This is The Night"'s surprising sales success impressed the nominating committee of the AMAs. And of course Clay's wonderful singing.

I'd say John Mayer and Justin Timberlake are the top two contenders in that category. In fact, I'd venture to say Clay and Kid Rock have really NO chance. lol

I'm putting my bet on Mayer. Then Timberlake.

Justin Timberlake really thought that he would win that award hands down in November, no competition stopping him. He just might win it. But look out for Clay Aiken; if Clay wins it, it will be the major upset of the night! I think that Clay had a hit when John Mayer, Kid Rock and even Justin had no new 2003 music at the time. I commend the AMAs for nominating a new singer in Clay in that award; it cuts down the sameness that's been going on there the past 3 years.

Justin has Senorita out now, and had Rock Your Body and Cry Me a River out previously this year, so what are you talking about?

I do know that Justin had hit singles from "Justified" this year, but Clay's nomination just seemed to come out of nowhere for the award. I don't think that the male contenders against Justin for this year's award are strong enough, so he (Justin) will win it next month.
