for you clay fans, he'll be singing tonite at the very beginning of the miss american pageant. i think he's only singing one song (this is the night), but i just wanted to let ya'll know in case you wanted to check it out. the pageant is on at 8 (eastern time) on abc :)

CA & HI are always in top 15. notice that? and i dunno. i just ASSUMED that NY would be in 15 and be crowned MA. then we'd have to put up w/ "miss ny truly represents america right now so why shouldnt she be MA." and blah blah blah. i am so sorry. dont hate me, but i am tired of the 9/11 hooplah. i just thought MA would add to it and i am glad it didnt. i was so happy. and good lord. I was near tears watching erica be crowned. it took forever to get the crown on her she was jumping up and down so much. and HI was so beautiful. by the time it was just them i was rooting for them both. they deserved it.

clay did good. i was gonna tune out whne he was done and go see fighting temptations but i changed my mind

for some reason i wasn't even thinking that about miss ny, but now that you mention it she usually does better than she did last nite. i really wanted hawaii to win. i thought she had an amazing voice! i at least thought she'd win the talent competition. miss florida was really talented and really pretty, so i can see why she won. and it did take her forever to get that crown in place! did you see the former miss america behind her trying to pin it on? lol...she looked like she was getting a little frustrated after the 10th attempt ;).

on another note, clay did wonderful! i think that's the best i've heard him sing that song. did you hear that he admited to having a crush on miss ca? i thought that was so cute :)

Clay was OK... he didn't sing with the passion he usually does... and he was a bit shaky.

My mom was like "Where's Ruben!? He WON the thing afterall..." Yeah my thoughts exactly mom... I don't think it's fair at all.

i agree. plus, he was singing his own song and it seemed to fit the nite. i think he complimented the pageant better than ruben could. i in no way mean that as insult, it's just that pageants like this seem to appeal to pop culture and clay is clearly a pop artist while ruben seems to be trying to head in another direction. that's just my take on it. again, nothing against ruben! i like him and think he's very talented...

Clay Aiken sounded very good at the Miss America pageant two weeks ago! I liked how the 51 contestants came out as Clay sang the final chorus--just matched with the lyrics and the title of the song too. And how Clay snatched the microphone off of its stand as he moved down the walkway was so unique in its timing. He showed more expression and flair in his singing when he sang the song.
