So do you have a best friend?
Tell us something about them too. I love hearing best friend stories.

My best friend is Becky, she's my brother's ex-girlfriend but thankfully they get along so we could still be friends. We have gone to concerts together and when I moved away two years ago she wrote me the sweetest letter. Now when we get back together after months of not seeing each other it's like no time has past, we could talk for hours. We harass each other constantly, we sing to the radio and when we don't know the words we make them up, we played truth or dare with some guys a few New Years Eves back and she ended up half naked on the front porch and I ended up with my boobs in the snow...

Yes i have a best friend! He is probably the best thing that has ever happend to me! When he was new to our town ( i live in a small town) all the girls were gaga over him and i had no clue as to who they were talking about, well, it was our freshman year so i was going through the halls looking for my locker when i finally found it a guy that i didn't know was standing at the locker next to mine. One of my friends was like... thats him! so me and my loud mouth asked if he was (name goes here) and it scared the crap out of him cuz he didn't know anyone and he didn't know why i would have known his name! It was so funny! he was in a few of my classes and he played sports and i was the boys athletic trainer so i spent a lot of time with him. a year later, we found out that he lived right down the street from me (literally like 5 houses down).

We have been best friends every since! We go to school 4 hours apart now and its going on our second year so far apart... but we still talk to each other everyday! I couldn't live without him!:biggrin:

My best friend is Kelly. I met her cause she was friends with my older sister. We've been friends for about 2 years and we are inseparable. Everything we do turns into an adventure. I'll never forget when we went to see Vanessa Carlton in Philly. Philly is about 45 minutes away, but we left at 4 pm because it was general admission. Well, we got directions from Mapquest and it ended up taking us 4 hours to get to the concert. Good thing it didn't start till 8. lol!! We help each other through rough times, but mainly we are always there for each other and we have fun no matter what we're doing. Whether it was one of the many times we have gotten lost or we are washing and cleaning our cars, it always ends up being so much fun.

People find it weird that she is a sophomore in college and I am a senior in highschool and we're best friends, but honestly it doesn't matter how old you are as long as you can relate to each other and have a good time.

My best friend is a junior in HS and I'm a freshman in college, so we're the same as you and your friend. :)

You're right, age doesn't matter.

Katlin~ The same thing happened with me and my friend. I was only 16 and my friend was 18, so I couldn't go. In the end, my friend ended up not going either and we hung out that night.

Okay, my turn!

I actually have more than one best friend but I have one friend who is my family, so I don't even consider her my best friend.

I've known her since I was 5 but we didn't become best friends til the first day of 2nd grade when we both were wearing purple. We were instantly bonded over that, lol.

When we were younger, she'd stay the night at my house every Friday night and we'd stay up "late" (to us, it was late LOL) watching TGIF and eating caramel corn. We'd play barbies and dress up and dance. We had the best time!

My family soon became her family and her family was mine. I felt as comfortable with her family as I did with mine. Her brother pretty much became my brother and my brother and sister hers.

As we grew up, we realized that we were VERY different. In about every way possible, we were different. But for some reason, we stayed best friends. If we had met when we were in middle school, there's no way we'd be best friends, let alone friends most likely. But thats what was so cool about it.

We've been through so much together. I always knew she was special to me but a month ago, her brother was killed and it was after that, that I realized just how much I love her and how special she is to me. You think you know these things and then something terrible happens and you realize how much these people really do mean to you.

I honestly cannot and do not want to imagine my life without her. I feel so extremely blessed to have her in my life. Not only do I have a best friend, I have a sister.

Katlin~ yes, she is a great friend. But, she's not a big Justin fan, I just drag her along with me all the time. lol!! The Justin and Christina tour was great cause I love Justin and she likes Christina a lot.

My best friend Tara and I have been friends for almost 17 years. We are total opposites...she hates NSYNC lol and is into heavy metal and different things then I am in. We live two different lifestyles, but yet she is the only one in my life that knows me as I am and vice versa. We met shortly after my Grandpa died and I was crying during recess and she was a new girl in the school. She came up to me to see what was wrong...we started to talk and found out that our grandparents were friends.

We are three days apart in age...this year she was able to spend her birthday visiting me in Orlando...her first trip to Florida ever...my first time to see my niece who is now 10 months old almost. We had a blast...and even though we live in different states when we get together it is like we live next door still. If that makes sense.

I have many close friends, but she is the only one that I can consider to be my best friend. More like a sister to me.

Ohhh! I didn't mention one of my FAVORITE best friend stories ever....

Sophomore year of high school, there was a Valentine's Day dance. I was kinda sorta "seeing" this guy, whatever that means when you're 15 and was mad at him. So mad at him in fact that I said I wasn't going to the dance like everyone else was. And EVERYONE who was anyone in high school was going to go this dance. So I was sitting home alone watching some TV when my friend showed up with a bunch of pints of Ben and Jerry's ice cream. She and I seriously sat there and ate TONS of ice cream straight out of the carton while watching old movies on TV. It was so much fun.

As it turns out, the guy called my house from the dance and ended up convincing me (and my friend, who really did want to go but didn't because she wanted to be there for me) to come. And we did, and that was fun too. But not nearly as fun as eating ice cream out of the pint containers, watching old movies, and laughing.

Oh and my friend dislikes NSYNC. Yet she listens to them because she knows I love them. How great of a friend is she? :love:

shes called emma (confusing i know) and ive know her since i was 2 (im 21 now) actually our mums knew each other when they were pregnant so you could say ive known her forever!!

My best friend is Dawn! We have been best friends for over 15 years! We are roomates also! She is definatley one person i can trust and count on when i am in need of something. We met becuz we had something in common, our love for NKOTB!! And to this day we still love them! ( see )

I guess I have 2 best friends. Each of them is very different in their own right.

My very best friend in the whole world is my brother Matthew. He's 3 years younger than me, and even though we had petty little fights when we were younger, we have been basically inseperable since I was in high school. We have all the same friends, we like the same sports, have similar tastes in music (even though he makes fun of nsync he owns all their cd's too), and we just enjoy spending time together. I live over 2000 miles away from him right now, but we talk to each other on the phone every day. Even if it is at 3am in the morning his time! We know everything that goes on in each other's lives. My parents have to call me when they want to know what's happening with him and vice versa. So he is my very best friend. I luff him to death, and I'm glad we are siblings that get along, because I know a lot of people will never have the relationship that Matt and I have.

My other best friend is "C" We've been friends since we were 3. My mom used to work for her dad's company, and we used to have play dates at least twice a week. We only live 3 blocks from each other. Then we were in the same class during all of elementary school, so naturally we were best friends. Whenever our families would go on vacation I would go along with her, and she would come along with my family. Her parents even bought an extra moped (motorized scooter type motorcycle) for me so that we could cruise around at their lake house. She seriously is the nicest person I know. I don't think either of us has ever had a fight. Weird huh. But when I look back I just cannot remember either of us ever arguing. In middle school she had a really serious illness and almost died. I remember being so worried about her. All of our other "friends" stopped hanging out with her because they said that she used her illness as an excuse not to hang out with them. They are the most ignorant people I know. But I still went to her house every day and visited her. In high school we were both co-captains on the golf team, and we had a blast in school together. Though we went to colleges 4 hours apart from one another we visited each other almost every weekend. I don't get to talk to her as much as I would like anymore because our schedules just don't permit it, but I know that whenever I am having a crisis or I just need someone to talk to or brighten my day, she is ALWAYS there for me, just as I am for her. She's really more like a sister to me than a friend.

Aww...this thread makes me want to fly home and visit both of them right now!! :)
