OT: Question about Cell Phone Text-Messaging

Lauren just texted me but when I went to text her back, it says unable to send. I'm not sure if I have text-messaging included in the price of my cell phone but my question is, if I don't, then why was I able to receive Lauren's message?

You might not have text messaging... you can still recieve them, but you can't send them. That's how my boyfriends phone is... but he goes to some website and he can send me a text message through there... I dunno.

Sometimes I try to send text messages and it won't let me... that's only every once in a while, though. So try in a little bit, and if you still can't, then you probably can't send messages, only recieve them. :(

I couldn't send one this morning because I forgot the area code!

I had that same problem for the longest time. But once I set up my voicemail I could send texts back to people
