OT: Shady people in the work place!

So Wednesday I was "let go" at work and the only reason my boss told me was because I asked her about some days I'd requested off. It was completely this "oh well I don't know about the days you requested off b/c actually I have to let you go"

Then she gave me all these BS reasons about budgeting and blah blah blah and then she said it was really hard and she did'nt know how to break it and that she'd made her decision LAST Friday but she was gonna let me finish this week!!!! So today is my last day.

Is that NOT crappy management?!?!?!?

I got a new job on thursday :)

Its a good thing but it totally makes me not want to come in to the old one today since its supposed to be my last day..............but alas, tis payday and ufortunately I do not have direct deposit! DAMN!

The whole thing that happened to you before today was ridiculous too, but really--when they let someone go, a manager ALWAYS is supposed to let them go the same day! I mean, what kind of work do they expect to get out of you today? And I know you're a sweet and gentle person, but don't they think about what a disgruntled person could do??? Sheesh.

Its a ****ty situation and I was thinkin' about bein' a bitch and bringin' cupcakes and give myself a goin' away party hehehehe but I think thats a little harsh cuz its a daycare and some of the kids are attached, I'm gonna miss them but I can't tell them cuz they'll flip.

Is'nt that sad?

I'm just not gonna be there come monday.......... They're lookin' out for the "best interests of the kids....." I don't know whats worse.....not tellin' them or not showin' up. :scratch:
