Do you like it? Does it provide reliable service?
I wanna switch from Motorola to Nogkia so I can get the text-messaging capability(and plus, I hate my Motorola), and I was wondering had any opinions on Nokia's.
Thanks,
Lanie

I know that a couple girls here had Nokia phones from home and they can't use them here because the range is so poor.

i luff my nokia phone. don't get one of those cute things though, cuz they usually don't work. get the normal looking, no antenna, platinum looking ones. It works the best. :D i don't remember what kind it is exactly, all it says is nokia. I have great service with it. Some of those cute little phones don't work right. I always have great service! And i live out in the boonies in northern ohio.

the service has more to due with your carrier service than the phone... like ATT or Verizon or whatever.
I used to have a Motorola and while didn't have any real problems with it, I actually like my Nokia better... it's a little more user friendly and more compact.
I want a newer one though now.. hehe.. with the color screen and stuff. lol

Yes, it's the carrier that controls the service, not the phone manufacturer. I am now on my second Nokia phone and I like them very much.
I went with AT&T because they were one of the two vendors that offer the phone I wanted. I researched phones and carriers at this website: http://www.letstalk.com
You can read customer reviews of phones and service. You will find that almost every carrier is rated as having bad customer service!
This site also let's you learn all about the different phones and service plans and you can cost them out. I got a great deal here with the phone for $ 20 back! It lists for $ 249. I got a one year contract at about $ 30 a month. Give it a try, Lanie. :D

I, along with 2 of my other roomies have a Nokia phone, all 3 of us get excellent service here and very rarely do I get interrupted in the middle of a call...the only place I really can't get reception is in Meijer for some odd reason lol but anyway I love my phone.
I think your service really isn't determined by the phone but rather by what service provider you use. That's just IMO though ;)
I also have Cingular..if that helps you out any
