Britney Spears - Live from Gotham Hall
A WoB Exclusive Live Coverage
Concert starts at 8:30 PM ET
We're all set and ready to go. We've got some awesome exclusive information that will blow you away !. First of all, for those of you who don't know, Britney is taping a live concert tonight in Gotham Hall in New York City which will air nationwide on November 17th, 2003. We sent Joey and Mel to the concert, courtesy of Z100. They are there right now, and I was just given the first report. They met Columbus Short and talked to him for about 20 minutes, he has promised Joey and Mel that they will get to meet Britney on behalf of WoB after the end of the concert, they are soooo EXCITED !!!, and....I'm stuck in LA !! LoL I wish I could have gone, but anyway, who cares, get this, you won't get this information from anybody else, all of what you're about to read is exclusive exclusive exclusive and we're the first ones to give you this info, here we go:
According to Columbus Short, tonight's concert will be 45 minutes and Britney will perform the following songs:
1. Toxic
2. Breathe on Me
3. I've Got That Boom Boom
4. Touch of My Hand
5. Everytime
6. Baby One More Time JAZZ Mix (First time ever, awesome mix)
7. Boys/Slave Medley
8. Me Against The Music
According to Mel, when she and Joey told Columbus that they were from World of Britney.com, he went like, "Oh I know about the site, my mom woke me up when I was sleeping to tell me that my pictures with Britney were on WoB, and after that the tabloids started rumors that we were together, but we're just friends, I'm her choreographer, I know Ruben and Britney tells me all the time, yeah go to WoB to see this, or go to WoB to see that". When Mel told me I was like "MAN!", hahah....
The next sing is going to be "I've Got That Boom Boom", Columbus said they have already started with the video concept and treatment, he said and I quote "Awesome special effects that will blow you away". They also talked to Derek, who's the manager for the Ying Yan twins. There might be a chance that "Everytime" is released as a second single, which is what Britney's management wants, although Britney's trying to push for "Boom Boom", pfft...who said that "Boom" was made up?? Anyway, if Boom is second single, Everytime will be third single, which makes sense, two fast songs to start off with, followed by a ballad.
Tours:
Columbus said the tour will start in January, and that it will be like NOTHING you have ever seen before.....it will have amazing dancing and amazing effects. Before the real tour starts though, Columbus said they will be flying to Asia in DECEMBER for Mini-Tours all around the area.
The FIRST SINGLE story:
Columbus said that originally R. Kelly was promised that "Outrageous" was going to be the first single and music video off the album, but Britney came to Columbus totally depressed saying how she didn't want it to be the first single, so she asked Columbus to come up with a cool remix and they did, but Larry Rudolph said that was still not good. So Britney came up with the idea of incorporating Madonna into the video after their performance at the VMA's.....Britney talked to Madonna, and Madonna told her she loved the song, Britney then asked Madonna if she wanted to be on it, Madonna said yes, Britney was SHOCKED, and then Larry said, OK let's do it, but originally, Outrageous was gonna be the first single !.
Lipsynching:
They've been trying to tell Britney to stop doing it, but she says she gets really winded when dancing, and tha ' extremely hard for her to pull it off, nevertheless, Columbus said she WILL be singing Me Against The Music live at the American Music Awards.
P.Diddy:
Columbus said that soooo many fans were dissapointed when they found out that "The Answer", the P.Diddy track, was not going to be on the album, and that lately, a lot of fans on the street have been wondering what's up with that, he said that the more fans that request it, the higher the chances of it actually being on the album, he says they're looking into it and that it might be included after all.
That's all the info we have for now, Mel and Joey are set to meet Britney after the concert. Columbus said that right now was not a good time as she was getting ready to do TRL and that Britney was really nervous about the entire day, but that after the show, that they were going to get to meet her, hopefully everything will go well !
