Okay, shoot me. I know Kris said we'd feature a band every week, but f it. LOL I love these guys and I had too.

They're such a goooooood band. I seriously have not stopped listening to their album. The single they have out right now is called "Until the Day I Die". I suggest checking that one out as well as "Falling Down." That song features Toby of H20 and John Feldman. Just go like quick..now..like right now. lol

Laura, I believe this is their full debut album. They did have a 5 song EP before it tho.

Their cd is enhanced too and I know there's some nudity (so I've heard) on it, so if that makes you go buy the cd faster..lol so be it. I haven't put mine in the compy yet because it's been glued in my car stereo.

Tidbit: They use to be called Big Blue Monkey and then they changed their name. lol They are THAT cool. haha

And I missed them on Warped. I'm still mad about that. They'll be in San Antonio in late November with Sugarcult and I'm going to try and be there. teehee.

They will be coming to Columbus, so I think I'm gonna go and check them out. :D January 25th.

And that was before I came in this thread! Jinx, man...

Saw Story of the Year last night with Hoobastank/POD and of course the great Linkin Park.

lol my friends were so mad at me the whole time cause I kept rushing them I was like if we're late we're gonna miss SOTY and that's not gonna happen. Our seats we're ok they were like right next to the stage near one of these little platforms that Linkin Park later walked on (Mike grabbed my hand when he almost fell over. I saved his life lol j/k). SOTY really kicked ass. Like serious ass. Dans got a mohawk now. LIKE a full on mohawk not the kind you can make with longer hair. It looks hot. They did a cover of Enter Sandman by Metallica during that I sat down and put my hood over my head cause I was mad. I kept telling my friends it wasn't right cause bands are supposed to cover songs of bands better than them and METALLICA SUCKS. So they told me to tell them that when I met them so I did. After they played they hung out by one of the merch booths near our entrance. I was like ya'll we're awesome and Dan was like no you guys were awesome and I was like yeah whats with the metallica cover. They should be covering YOUR SONGS. And dan put his arm around me and he was like this is the smartest girl in here tonight. He was like thanks honey. I got a picture with him , Phil and Ryan. lol FYI the metallica cover did sound really good.

They kicked major ass seriously I enjoyed them more than Hoobastank lol. Hoobastank covered a bit of "girls just wanna have fun" that was the most exciting. And Doug (the lead singer) was like so who's a patriots fan and asking that in new england is like asking if you can breathe lol. So he's like "I am too. F**k the Colts. Yeah f**k em." that got a ridiculous response from the audience.

POD was amazing and during that song Sleeping Awake from the Matrix Sonny had like green Matrix thingys all over him coming from the screen above them. Sounds confusing but it looked soo cool. They took kids on stage during Youth of The Nation and they must have picked the most White trash drunk girl in there and just watching her try to dance up there entertained me for the whole night. I had to take pictures so everyone could see how dumb she looked lmao. Sonny stayed in the pit with the microphone for so long and one kid pulled down his pants lol it was funny cause the security guy kept trying to pull them up lol.

Linkin Park was just too good for words. They played everything seriously. The best was Faint even though a majority of LP fans don't like it and think it was horribly overplayed but wow to see the whole audience singing to it was awesome. Same with "A place for my head". The played a 4 song encore which is pretty rare these days. The finished with One Step Closer. Awesome awesome show. Mike and Chester both were in the pit for a while and during one step closer mike took the whole mic stand and held it in the audience. They are such amazing guys for a big band like that. They all came out after the show and thanked everyone they came to all the corners of the stage to say hi and sign some autographs.

ohh this was great. After story of the year these girls that were like RIGHT next to the stage ran to where SOTY could see them and started screaming like teeny boppers and one of them flashed then and Josh yelled back "Oh PLease keep your shirt on" we all laughed really hard. There were some characters in out section. ohh and those girls got kicked out later cause apparently those weren't even their seats lmao.

Story of the Year has just announced their headlining tour with Hazen St., Saosin, and Adair. They're not coming to San Antonio or Austin and the other TX dates are too far for being on a weekday. This sucks so bad..at least I got Warped.

I just want to say that SOTY was amazing at Skate & Surf and last night in Boston. I'm also seeing them again on Saturday in Providence. (as long as tickets are still available tomorrow)

They are honestly one of the best bands I have ever seen live. So much energy. I love them.

PS - LJ friends.... I'll have a real review up very soon! Lots about Letter Kills because we got to interview them and all... I'm in love with Matt, even more than I already was. So sweet. :love:

It was so awesome.. cause they played X-Fest which is kinda like Warped.. but not as big.. and there were a ****load of people watching SOTY.. and it was spine chilling when people started singing it outloud.. cause there were a lot of people there. I would say over 1,000 people just watching them.

I wanted to meet them.. but their signing just HAD to be the same time as Punchline's performance and I wasn't about to give up the one band I came for. lol
