Friday I heard a clip of an interview with Will Ferrell for his new movie "Elf".
The interviewer asked Will what is favorite Christmas movie was. Will replied: Days of Thunder, ya know that Tom Cruise Nascar movie.
There was a brief pause (I imagine the interviewer is scratching his head).
Will then said that it just seems to fit. Driving as fast as you can just going in circles.
Well, it makes perfect sense to me. What a wise man that Will Ferrell. Ahh, Christmas shopping.
On that note, everyone please have a safe Holiday shopping season.
What is YOUR favorite holiday movie?

A Christmas Story.
I watch the marathon every year when it is on. I just can't get me enough of little Ralphie. :o :p
I also think that leg lamp is hilarious. I so want to buy one. But they are 200 dollars. :( :o

Damn, its hard to make a choice. The Santa Clause is really good. With Tim Allen, And The Grinch That Stole Christmas. The one with Jim Carrry and the original cartoon!

Rudoloph the Red Nosed Reindeer!
Where else would you get such memorable songs like...
Silver and gold...silver and gold...
The Christmas misfits...
And such memorable quotes as...
"Bumbles...BOUNCE!"
And..."Rudolph, with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"
And, the best song of all...
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer...had a very shiny nose...
Pass me the egg nog please!

I found it!!! It is called House Without A Christmas Tree and it was a tv movie with Jason Robards!! My age really shows cos it is from 1972....but I must have seen the 126847 rerun;)
Another good one was the Homecoming.....ok, that's all:)

Poor *nmom........they say that the sense of humor is one of the first things to go. In her case, it's more a recognition of what constitutes "funniest movie" that seems lacking. :p
I can't decide between A Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation. They're both great! Every year on Christmas Eve, when the family is sitting down to dinner, we always go through the question of saying grace, and it's immediately followed by "But she died thirty years ago!" (or is it only twenty.....I can't remember right now.....my own senior moment!)
And last year, when we were in Cancun, I nearly had PJ spitting food out of her mouth in a very expensive restaurant (The Palm), when the waiters were singing Happy Birthday to another customer. Even though the family at that table were speaking Spanish the whole time, the waiters, for some unknown reason, were singing it in English. It came out more like "Hoppy Beerthday...." and I just sat there and sang, "Fa ra ra ra ra" just as she took a mouthful of food.
So we do things from both movies!

Yup, I like A Christmas Story too. But Christmas Vacation is a very close second in my book.
Can we all say "Fra-g-ee-lay"?
Does anyone know of the very lame but cute movie "The Night They Saved Christmas"? I luff that movie! It isn't funny, but gives you a warm fuzzy feeling.

Kohl's put up their Christmas displays more than a month ago.
It was quite funny, seeing the Halloween stuff in the aisle right in front of it.

Yeah I almost went psychotic when I was in Wal-Mart on November 1st standing next to Christmas trees and hearing carols overhead. That was a bit too much for me.
And amen sister about not enough time to save! :noway:
