Lance Bass, Monica and R.J. Williams will co-host "The AMA Red Carpet Party," the "American Music Awards" arrival show, which will immediately precede the 31st annual awards presentation on Sunday, November 16, 7-8 PM (ET PT) on the ABC Television Network.This first-ever nationally televised AMA pre-show is a presentation of dick clark productions, inc. The hosts will report on the up-to-the-minute news from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and interview nominees and celebrities from both the music world and Hollywood as they make their way down the red carpet. "Extreme Makeover" stylist, Sam Saboura, will analyze the fashions of the music stars.
Among the many stars expected are "American Idol"'s Clay Aiken, Ryan Seacrest and Ruben Studdard, Ashanti, Sheryl Crow, Hilary Duff, "NYPD Blue"'s Dennis Franz, Alan Jackson, Kid Rock, the "Newlyweds" Nick Lachey Jessica Simpson, Metallica, OutKast, Pink, Britney Spears, Rod Stewart, Kiefer Sutherland and Damon Wayans.
Best known as a member of the phenomenally successful pop group NSYNC, Lance Bass is also an accomplished actor and has his own production company. Monica's award-winning recording career started out with back-to-back number one hits and helped take her debut album to multi-platinum status. Her recording success has continued and she has expanded her horizons into acting. Called the "ultimate insider," R.J. Williams is best known as the creator and host of Showtime's "The Red Carpet." He has also recently formed his own production company.
