Britneys ITZ flopped in the UK in its opening week reaching only no.14
However Kylie, who was supposed to have a bit of a battle with Britters for the number one couldn’t make it either. She made no.6
Jacko was no.1 with his GH album
The DJ on radio one played Outrageous and said it was the next UK single

from what I heard In The Zone sold more in it's first week than "Britney" in the UK. Stripped debuted at # 19 so # 14 isn't that bad.

Well in Christinas deffence Britney is an established artist in the UK. When Christina released Stripped it was only her second album and she released it BEFORE the single. Britney already had the advantage of MATM being a top 5 hit.
i have a feeling this is gonna be her least successful album here in the UK. But im positive it will still make the platinum mark!

A lot of weird things happen on this chart. For example Jacko at # 1. Therefore i look at how many it sold rather than chart position.

It was a greatest hits album that wasn't expected to debut that high, at all. Not bashing him, just saying.

I really thought that Britney Spears' album would debut at No. 1 over there. They have really hyped that album a lot yet it premiered at 14. And I thought that Michael Jackson would debut lower since it's a greatest hits album and he had that recent arrest which would have turned away some people. But it's encouraging to hear that people would rather hear MJ's music than hear about his arrest, and that might have made it No. 1. As for Britney, she'll get up there soon.
