Britney Likes 'Spanish' Singers Kylie And Paulina

Britney Spears made another embarassing gaffe, calling Kylie Minogue and Paulina Rubio Spanish singers. Spears was speaking to a Spanish journalist, who asked if she liked the country's music. Britney replied, "Yes, I really like it. From Paulina Rubio to Kylie Minogue." When she was told that Kylie is Australian and Paulina is Mexican, she hastily tried to cover up her embarrassing mistake by adding, "I still think they're great."

That's funny :p I would've said Paulina too though, I didn't know she's Mexican and not Spanish. It all sounds the same to me :D

Well, since it was a journalist from spain asking brit whether she liked any singers from the country, its obvious she goofed. If the question was, do you like any spanish singers, paulina might be appropiate. But how come she doesnt know that kylie is not at all spanish??

She should've said Enrique Iglesias and she wouldn't have had that problem lol he's well known and I think almost everybody know he's Spanish.

BTW Natalia Lafourcade is Mexican ;) La Oreja de Vangohg is Spanish though

mmm thanx i wasn't suer if she was or not. iknew la oreja de vangogh was tho casue of their accents. i luv there song la playa. its my fav song ever. i know all the words lol and i anly know what like a third of the songs says. lol

Hey, I love the song 'Cuídate' of La Oreja de Vangogh and yeah their accent is pretty obvious lol

'Cuídate' isn't their new song I think it's from a previous album I'm not sure.

i dont think its true solely because she used Kylie's writer/producer for the track Breathe On Me... i'm pretty sure she would know that Kylie is not from Spain and based on the fact that it was a spanish journalist...it is more likely their was a translator and somewhere along the line the translation was lost...she probably thought the interviewer asked what European singers she liked hence the answer 'From Paulina Rubio to Kylie Minogue. Plus look at the source...dont believe everything you read.

i speak a little bit of spanish not alot. i understand better than i can speak. lol
