Britney to cover 'Justify My Love'

According to Neil Sean of Sky News, Britney Spears has recorded a cover of Madonna's 'Justify My Love'. The track was secretly recorded as part of an extra package for her new album 'In The Zone'. Rumor has it that since 'Me Against The Music' failed to get any higher than 38 on the charts, Britney is keen on releasing her extra steamy take on the song. The one thing missing so far is the permission of Madonna who owns the song.



I am not too sure..it will be cool. I mean I think it is cool, I mean that is a really famous song by Madonna but I think it is just too much..I mean all this Madonna stuff, I mean I know its her Idol but I don't know..if she does it that would be cool...:)

I doubt she'd record this song to save her album, which has been #1 for the last two weeks and has sold almost a million copies in the US alone. If MATM "failed", then lord knows all of the singles from Britney were even worse...but she never released any covers or rush-released any singles. She took her time with things, like she will with this album. Once MATM has peaked she'll release another single off of In The Zone like she always has done....no covers necessary. ;)

i was in a way expecting a madonna cover...it was only a matter of time and thats the all time song to choose ya know?? but i honestly dont think she would have worked with the right people to give the song the edge and vibe it needs to exceed madonna's original. not that britney couldnt, we all know she is talented. but you can have the best vocalist on the best lyrically written song and throw in the wrong producer and the chemistry is messed up. thats all i mean. but i really wanna hear it. it should be cool. maybe for the tour!!!

What's wrong with the other songs off the album as a future single? I know that Madonna is Britney's musical influence, but Britney needs to stay off of making remakes for now. She needs to put her original songs out instead. And Madonna can do "Justify My Love" the best; everybody else's version of it is awful!
