Hey ppl... just got back from my lil trip to the beach!! Had so much fun (although something just couldn't leave my mind)...

It was good... the sun was strong and it was really hot... I got myself the 1st tan this year (and most likely my last too :( )

They were running around everywhere. Yesterday I went to the mall to buy my coat. Well, on the way there we almost got to the mall and I noticed that there was smoke coming out of the hood of my car. My friends started freaking out and it started to get worse and worse. I end up just driving to the nearest parking lot and parking my car, which happened to be across the street of the mall, lol. I turned my car off and we all got out and smoke was pouring out of my hood, and this greenish stuff was flowing out of my hood. I open my hood and it's all just a mess, lol. We call for professional help and they get there and look at my car. They tell me that if I would have left my car running any longer, like a matter of minutes, my engine would have caught on fire because my radiator was out of water and that caused my anti-freeze to boil over. So I was minutes away from possible death. :noway:

Then today it just gets worse. I went to the football game and it was like 4 hours away. But the way there is ok... no problems. The way back is a completely different story. It is raining here, it is reaaaally foggy and not good road conditions. We are driving back from the game and we are turning a big corner and right after we turn the corner we see a huge 18-wheeler just sitting in the road. ALLLLL of the cars on the road... we all had to slam on our brakes. You literally could not see that diesel until it was right in front of you. We all almost had a heart attack.

But nooo... it doesn't stop there. The later it got tonight the foggier it got and it was raining... so that combination is NOT good. But we are just driving a long and we notice that a truck is spinning in circles in the middle of the highway, and it is like really close to us but over to the left, but really close. But then it stops spinning and starts to go backwards and it is coming directly into our lane and we were, i swear, a couple of feet away from slamming into it (this all happened in a matter of seconds), but on basic instinct, we swurve the car into the other lane. We are SOO SOOO SOOO lucky because there wasn't a car in that lane in that spot at that moment in time. The highway was packed with cars, but the one spot that we had the chance to swurve into was empty. That is called luck.

So... in conclusion, I came close to possible death 3 times within the past 48 hours. What a weekend. :noway:

but anyway car fires are rare now a days radiators are built different so they don't catch the car engeine on fire... they just told you that to scare you more :o

oh and the son throughout the movie had an imaginary friend... his mom left him when he was a kid to be come the next big hollywood starlet when he was a kid so he always talks to his imaginary friend... i love it

SÃO PAULO (Reuters) - Ricky Martin deixou claro que a noite seria "caliente" logo nos primeiros minutos de seu show em São Paulo na quinta-feira, compensando a chuva torrencial que os fãs enfrentaram e o atraso de uma hora para o início da apresentação.

Com uma performance energética de duas horas, o cantor porto-riquenho rebolou, sambou, jogou capoeira, tocou percussão e provocou a platéia a participar cada vez mais.

"Faz um pouquinho de barulho pra mim, faz?", pediu ele, como se os gritos que preenchiam o Credicard Hall já não fossem altos o bastante.

Ricky Martin veio ao Brasil para promover seu novo álbum, "Life", lançado em outubro. A turnê, que começou em novembro no México, irá percorrer a América Latina até o final do ano.

Na primeira música do show, "Till I Get to You", do CD novo, ele parecia comportado. Mas logo em seguida, com "I Don't Care", primeiro single do novo disco, ele começou a dançar com sua backing vocal e dançarina acompanhando a batida forte da música.

Um dos pontos altos foi a performance do hit "Livin' La Vida Loca", tocada com arranjo diferente, trazendo um som mais simples e a batida mais marcada.

Na contagiante "I Am", as fãs pareciam morrer de inveja ao vê-lo interagir com a dançarina da banda, que ainda tirou uma das blusas que ele vestia, deixando-o com uma regata preta. No final da canção, ele ainda jogou capoeira.

Outras canções que aumentaram a temperatura da platéia foram "Maria" e "Jaleo", quando o cantor assumiu um instrumento de percussão.

Ele também cantou músicas mais calmas, como "She's All I Ever Had", dando tempo para o público recuperar o fôlego. O ritmo intenso foi logo retomado com "It's Alright" e "La Bomba", na qual mostrou que não faz feio na hora de sambar.

"O calor tem que chegar até Porto Rico", pediu ele, que também afirmou que vem para o Carnaval do Rio em fevereiro.

Em "La Copa De La Vida", uma chuva de estrelas douradas de papel caiu sobre o público, anunciando o fim do show. Ele ainda voltou para dois bis.

Ricky Martin manteve-se sorridente e bastante simpático todo o tempo, conseguindo agradar mesmo quem não era fã. O comerciante Dionísio Febraio, 47 anos, foi ao show para tentar descobrir o segredo do cantor com as mulheres. "Concordo que o rapaz tem um apelo sexual, erótico, que realmente consegue captar a sensibilidade feminina", disse ele.

Outra que ficou satisfeita foi Ilene Mara Gallo, 41 anos, fã desde a época dos Menudos. "Ele é extremamente sexy, cativante, é um gentleman no palco."
