Yeah, they are good live. At least from what I've seen on TV. I don't like their music too much, either, but I will admit that they put on a kick-ass show.
There are lots of songs out there that are similiar to "Perfect." It's a good song, but I just feel like I've heard it a million times before already.

SP kick ass live. They are awesome.

i just bought 2 tickets today for the Jan 28th show! it'll be the 4th time i'm seeing them.. they put on an awesome live show! I'm so excited to see sugarcult and motion city soundtrack too.. mxpx, eh, i've seen them and i didn't think they were too great.. sorry.. lol

i love during "grow up" when he sings "gc, sum, and blink, and mxpx is rocking my room" cuz that's sooo true.. i've seen all those bands multiple times! haha..

It was awesome!!! They did a great job. I adore Pierre and his voice and everything, but when David sings I'm all :love:

I def. would have hurt myself had I gone to this concert, Simple Plan is apparently the headliners cause they're the only ones who haven't been on yet. Maroon 5 was on third... There isn't anything about Bob either, but my friend told me he was going to be there *shrug* it was probably a "hey I'm Bob look at me" on and off type of thing like Britney's "co-hosting" at the Kiss Concert, riiight she came out and gave the check to the Genisis fund and booked it.

I'm not a big Kiss 108 fan, but I do like going to the Kiss Concert because of how many acts you get to see and they're usually good.

why is it funny if someone found meaning in 'Perfect', that's not any different than a person finding meaning in any song...'If You're Happy & You Know It' means a lot to me.

Simple Plan has a lot of fans because they are actually really good when it comes right down to it, and their live show for real is very good. Too me, that's the true test, anyone can put out a CD but when you can play good live that's what matters. Blink 182's past lyrics were very elementary as well, poop jokes as far as the eye can see and yet they have a lot of fans too. There isn't any guidelines that says all bands need to have extremely meaningful lyrics and that they can't have fun writing about whatever. You know when you find a CD with "balls" in the title that it's going to be full of fun.

I watched it last night at my friend's house. I didn't like any of the performances except for Simple Plan and yes, they did rocked. But I agree with you about when David sings, I just love his voice as well.

We are very sorry to announce that we will have to cancel 4 shows on our upcoming February tour with MXPX:

Boynton Beach, FL
Orlando, FL
St. Petersburg, FL
Atlanta, GA

We have been invited to perform at the MTV Asia Awards in Singapore on February 14th.

This is a huge honor and a once in a lifetime dream opportunity for us! We never been to Singapore and it will be our first time playing the MTV Awards! Unfortunetly, this will force us to miss shows on the tour.

This is a very unfortunate situation and we're all bummed out about it. We love playing Florida: our shows over there are always rad. We had a blast playing the House of Blues in Orlando, Jack Rabbits in Jacksonville, Club Masquerade in Tampa, the American Airlines Arena in Miami and all the Warped Tour dates this Summer. As far as our love for Georgia is concerned, we are writing this letter from Ruby Red Studios in Atlanta where we are recording a brand new song. This city rocks and the week we're spending here is just amazing! So please know that our decision has nothing to do with how much we appreciate all of you guys in the South! It was purely impossible to do the shows and go to Singapore...we tried all kinds of crazy travel arrangements and losing 4 shows is the absolute only way we can do it. This sucks and we honestly hope you guys will understand and not be pissed at us!

MXPX, Sugarcult and Motion City Soundtrack will be playing the shows without us. Go check them out cuz they rock!

i went to the minneapolis shows the last 2 nights and the show rocks. they sing "where is the love" and "get the party stated" by pink and "crash and burn" and "so happy together". then of course a bunch from the record!!! the guys are super cool and when they sing "perfect" piere comes out with an acoustic guitar and the crowd sings like half the song. it was so freaking cool and the guys are super nice too!!!! Me and some friends were hanging out and went to some bars with the guys and it was amazing.

there is a lot that we parked in for blink down the street a bit and I don't think it was too much.. the show had already started too and there were still spots left. If you go down the street the club is on allll the way down and take a right.. drive a little bit and that's the lot.

Oh wow, I am soooo ****ing beat. lol. I got thrown around in the pit like a friggin' ragdoll during Sugarcult. :laugh: But it was fun. Haha. SP was just amazing. David kept on looking over at me when I was singing. One of the times he winked. :eek: So yes, I hope my pictures turned out good.

The weather sucked major ass. It was raining. Pretty much the only member I got to meet was Seb. :( He signed my CD booklet, but on the back. :o Pierre and Chuck came out, but each time I wanted them to sign my booklet and get a picture, they walked back inside. Grr. Lol. Guess you gotta be aggressive with them boys. Lol. So hopefully I'll have better lucky today. Lol.

I was on the left side and I swear I can not hear outa my left ear for my life. It would just be LOVELY if we end up on the right side tomorrow. :laugh:

But I'm not too big on MxPx, so we left right after Simple Plan, since SP went on before them. But SP's show was amazing. They did all the songs from their album except My Alien. They also did Crash and Burn and a cover of Let's Get This Party Started and Where's the Love? Some other song.. my mind is blank. And yes.

It was funny.. David said he wanted to play a game where everyone yells out their name, so he counted to 3 and everyone yelled out their name and he goes, "I'm David. Nice to meet you!" LOL And the other guys said their names, too. Wow.. funny guys. Hehe. Can't wait for the Cleveland show. :D

We talked to all the guys but Pierre...ass. David was SO SWEET! And he hugged me, and I didn't even ask! :eek: We told him we were going to see Brand New on Friday and he gave us a message for them....he told us to tell them that he LOVES them! :laugh: Oh yeah...we talked to Seb before the show at the merch booth...I think I touched his hair...LMAO...it's much longer than it used to be...Pat was talking to him and I put my hand over his mouth to shush him. :)

Best part of all...the Yellowcard guys were there...after SP we went up to the back and I saw LP first...I was, I know that's him, so I said his name and sure enough, oh yeah...then I saw Ryan, and then Ben and Alex and then Sean...and the even better part, Sean is putting us on their guestlist for tomorrow night, so SWEET! I guess we're going to that radio show I told you about Carrie! :D I so cannot wait!

I swear I took a hundred pictures, my camera battery ended up dying. :( I swear it should last longer than a few hours, but whatever...I ended up shoving us up to the second row, so it kicked ass.

So we just got back from Cleveland about 5 minutes ago, so bare with me if I miss any details.

We left here around 9.. got to the Agora at 12:30. So we went looking for parking.. no luck. So I went to a gas station and asked a guy if he knew where parking was for the Agora Theatre, and he goes.. you can park in my lot for $10. So I was like, "**** THAT! I'm not paying no $10." So we left. And we saw some guy at KFC and we asked him where parking was and he told us, and it was kinda confusing, so after like 40 minutes or so.. we FINALLY found parking. We got there and me and Brooke were walking back to my car and we saw my friend, Josie and her cousin sitting in the car, so we went to talk to them.

Haha, thennn Pierre was outside getting ready to go on the bus, so I yelled, "PIERRE!".. he turns around and looks at me really weird and then waves back and goes back on the bus. So we're all just laughing at that for a minute. So then we chill inside of Josie's car for like what.. 5 hours? lol Oh yes, good times. Then we see Chuck come outside so we jolt out of her car and go over to him. Well to the fence since there was a fence in between the buses and the parking lot. Bastards. We ask him to sign some stuff and his manager is all saying how he needs to eat and stuff, and Chuck said something like, he needs to sign stuff because if it weren't for the kids.. SP wouldn't be where they are and stuff. He goes, "manager's don't understand that" or some crap like that. Josie offers to take him out to lunch. Next time. lol Then we see David and yell for him and he says they have to soundcheck and he'd be back. Pierre came out and signed some stuff. Then like 10 minutes later or so David came out. I got my CD booklet signed by the entire band except for Jeff. :( It was funny cause we could see Jeff inside the tour bus eating. Him and his bald head.

So then around 5:30 or so, we went to go get in line and all that jazz. It was better since they let people wait inside and stuff. The guy said there were no cameras allowed. I stuffed mine in my bra. lol So then they opened doors and we went in, we were up front. I was like 2 people back on the left side [again]. But during Sugarcult the pit got kinda crazy again. So we ended up like 5 people back or so. Then MxPx was just.. a snoozer. So then during SP we were able to get up to like 3 or 4 people back. They sang all the same songs. lol And yeah. Once again.. I was BEAT! So then we went to head outside and Josie wanted to take pics with a few of the guys in Sugarcult.. so then after that.. we left.

Carrie and I ended up over towards the left side of the stage for most of the concert up until MXPX when she got out and I went to find the other girls. We had some real annoying people around us and the friggin' guy in the white t-shirt argh! I got a head to my neck, and a shoulder to mine(there's a small bruise there now, it hurts more than what's there so I'm guessing it'll be growing.) Kristin got kicked in the face and has a bruise under her eye. I think all of the pushing screwed up my knee cause it clicks when I do stairs ;X. During MXPX, my friend Anna and I were together and there was a group of a few guys, and I was thinking, good we've got strong ones near us but they turned out to be jerks. Def. dropped a girl on her back and was laughing about it... not cool. Kris lost her cell, keys, and a camera when she got pulled out. We later found the cell(it looks like hell lol) and her keys, but not the alarm clicker thing.. and the guys where making us leave cause they were opening the club that night.. that's why the show started so early... Her Dad had to come with the spare when we got to the T cause she couldn't even start her car, atleast the alarm went off after a while.

This show threw me for a loop, I haven't been this sore, or tired in a while...

Carrie, I don't know how it happened, but I didn't get to see you when we were leaving to say bye. I hope you get your camera to work again, thanks for helping us look for Kristin's stuff. I'll see you in a couple weeks for Mest.

LOL I lost you guys when I stopped to grab my friends Kirsten and Michelle at the MXPX merch booth. I almost called you to say bye but I didn't. I always have fun with you guys though, so we need to hit more shows together :)

The crowd was a bit on the brutal side. I just get annoyed when I can't do **** with my hands/arms and can't see.... pisses me off.

I had a kick ass time at the show last night. So much fun!

While in line outside, the door opened from Tequila Rain, and Pierre and Seb walked out with a girl. They walked right in front of me and some people and no one said a word. It was so funny. They had their hats and hoods up, too cute.

Jersey was decent, though the guy's voice reminded me somewhat of Tim Armstrong's. (I'm not saying that as a bad thing, I LOVE Rancid!)

Sugarcult was fantastic, I love them. They were so good.

And then of course Simple Plan rocked my socks like whoa. As always! They honestly are one of my favorite bands to see live. They have so much energy and are very interactive with the crowd, which I love. They're just great. They covered Pink's Get The Party Started and Black Eyed Peas' Where's The Love, which was SO awesome. Pierre sounded so good! However, after I'd taken 14 pics, my camera totally died. I still don't understand what happened to it but I was pretty damn pissed off. It's actually my mom's camera... :x

After their set, I decided to get out of the pit (Andrea and I were about 5 rows/people back from the stage) because I was tired and sweaty. LOL
I went to the merch booths to buy stuff. I ended up getting the Sugarcult Start Static cd since I have been wanting it for a very, very long time. And I also bought the yellow Sugarcult shirt that has 2 girls kissing on it.... I swear it's the chicks from TATU. But I don't know how they could get away with doing that... Anyway, it's a coolass shirt. ;)
I bought a Simple Plan shirt too, and when I was there, these girls came up to Pat and were freaking out saying "Oh my God, I love you." Pat was like "Are you gonna cry now? Oh come on, cry!" It was amusing to say the least. I ended up taking their picture with him.

So anyway, then I made my way back in to watch MXPX. I got to watch them from up by the bar, which was a perfect view! I wish my camera had been working because I could have gotten some great shots, since it has 160 zoom! Grrr. I loved MXPX, they were so awesome! I hope to see them again, as well as Sugarcult. Definitely must happen. :)

After the show, it was FREEZING outside. I am very depressed that I didn't get to talk to David. ::cries:: But I did get to meet Seb and Chuck, so that's cool. Chuck is much cuter in person, by the way!

I was a little thrown off by Seb... Michelle asked him which bus was MXPX's because she wanted Tom to sign her shoe. And he's like "Don't stalk the busses..." I was like uhh... I don't know, it bugged me at first, I thought he was being an *******.. but now I just think it's hilarious that he said that.

Oh yeah, earlier in the night I did see Marko and Tim from Sugarcult but they were too surrouned so I didn't end up meeting them. Bummer.

That's all I guess. I'm way tired, so I probably forgot stuff.

Chris Wilson will join Sugarcult next week to fill in as their drummer for the remainder of Sugarcult's tour with Simple Plan and MxPx. Sugarcult's current drummer, Ben Davis, is currently recovering from back surgery.

As for them being immature- so what if they're goofy??? And the boys of Blink 182 (who are much older than SP) aren't? Where is it written that a "rock" or "punk" or whatever band can't be silly? Also, news flash- guys in their 20's, and some way beyond that, do act silly and goofy etc, I repeat- what's wrong with that? A sense of humor is the #1 thing women say they look for in a man. Or, did you ever think that they might not have come off as brain surgeons because they night not have understood you???? They are French Canadian after all...and might not have fully understood what you were saying to them, that does not make them idiots.
Finally, as to them not being "deep" enough- have you not listened to their lyrics????? I for one can completely relate to "perfect" and the feeling that nothing I do is good enough for my parents. And "addicted", it's very easy to see how someone feels like that after a relationship ends. What, because it's not poetic death metal it's not good enough for you??? Good grief, how can people be so limited in their musical tastes- if you never try anything new you'll never know what you're missing. 1. all music doesn't have to be "so deep" but it shouldn't just be written just to sell records and that is what most fun singers/bands write music for. Fun music sells more because you don't have to think to listen to it all its talking about is shallow type stuff.


2. Sense of humor and immaturity are two different things...
I have listened to there music.. I came out unaffected.... its like BSB with instruments. Of course everyone can relate to Perfect duh thats why they wrote it they knew it would sell... but it really isn't that deep there are a ton a bands that write the same kind of songs with way better lyrics.. and vocals.
