I would have to say the Cincinnati Bengals...love to see the underdogs to great, hopefully they'll make it to the playoffs, but if not, they do receive some type of respect, don't ya think?

I'm gonna have to go for either Charlton Athletic or Fulham.

The English season isn't even over, so you can't say that. And if you would like to talk your type of football, plesae take it over to the soccer forum.

Either the Bengals, true, or the Giants. NY going the other way of course.

I think I can safely say, at exactly halfway through the season, that both of those teams have surprised me.

Halfway through the season means nothing. Look at baseball this year: The Marlins were on the verges of ugly defeat by mid-season. They turned out to be the champions for '03.

American football is over for the year, so you can give a full definition, at least for the regular season. That's where these debates usually stem from anyway.

Dave, for fans of some American football teams, the real season is just beginning! :p

Too bad about your Giants.

Or not. :D

I agree Go Bret, the packers are the team of destiny and they should win the Superbowl.

when i look at the teams left in the playoffs,
KC is the one that i would not have expected to still be there

i was kinda surprised the Bills went downhill so badly. after improving the defense in the offseason it just kinda figures the offense crumbles.

can't say i was really surprised by the Bengals. Marvin Lewis is a great coach. also helped that the AFC North basically sucked this yr ( Steelers included  ) . even so Marvin made great improvements over the course of the season.

i guess i was also surprised how long it took for the Chiefs defense to be exposed. great offense i suppose(great RB & O-line really).

honestly, most teams did what i expected for the most part. though i was hoping better from mine(Steelers).

I just said I was rooting for Farve, I didn't say I expected the Pack to win.
