Im really worried right now. My nephew, David, woke up this morning and he wouldnt move. He has been sick and on medications, but he was feeling great yesterday. He says the front of his neck and his throat hurts and he will not move. We are afraid to move him, so we are calling the paramedics and taking him to the hospital.

Please pray for him.

Father in heaven, I pray that David would have the very best care, that you would give the doctors wisdom to diagnose his condition, that he would be treatable. Father, you are the Great Physician, and we know that you see David right now, and that you love him. We pray for a full recovery and for the peace that passes all understanding for his family members. Lord, bring them comfort, let them feel your presence in a very tangible way Father, let David's condition greatly improve, and we pray most of all, that you would be glorified in all of this. It is in your precious Son's name that we pray. Amen.

I am praying and continue to pray for him.:( Julie I love your prayer! Father God I come before you in agreement with the following people(chad,patty,Julie2) Lord Jesus you are Soverign O Lord, you control everything, all power is in your hand. Jesus you said in your word that there is power of life and death in the tongue. I speak life right now into David's body God. I speak healing from the top of his head to the soles of his feet. You said that by your stripes we are healed, that's what you said in your word Lord and you also said that your word does not return void. You are not a liar but a healer, you are the truth. Your will be done right now in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Oh Chad, I just saw the post. After I read the PM I sent one back but noticed it was after you had called the EMT. I pray it's not menningitis. But whatever it is, we know all is praying for him and there's lots of love being offered up for him. Please keep us informed of his condition. And he sounded so good last night too. God bless his little heart. :bluesad:

Thank you all for the prayers and healing thoughts.

David is doing great now! The paramedics was impressed with how well he cooperated. The first thing the nurse said when we got to the hospital was that he looked like a little blond prince. They had to give him an IV, just in case. I told them that he had not ate all day and he only had a little bit of water. When they did the CAT scan he fell asleep during it. He napped for a little while and when he woke up I asked him if he was hungry, he started to cry and said yes. I got the nurse to get dietary to get him some food. I dont know how they knew, but they brought him everything he likes. He ate good. The doctor came in and moved his neck in all directions and had him touch his chin to his chest. After reviewing the CAT scans and ruling out all other possibilities, the doctor brought in a release form. The doctor concluded that he had, I can not remember the name because its long, but it started with a T. Basically, it was a severe case of stiff neck, which we were all hoping and praying thats all it was. The doctor said it could last a week or more. They gave him some childrens Motrin, a lot more than we have been giving him. The doctor told us we have not been giving him enough Motrin because we were going by his age, but he is on the heavy side of the scale for his age. There are some simple precautions we have to take now, but he will be fine.

Just before arriving home he moved his neck and was happy that it did not hurt. He told us he feels much better now.

I felt terrible that I was sick last night and couldnt be around him more, but I dont want him catching anything from me.

This morning he got right up and wanted some breakfast and to play with his toys.

Thank you all again for the prayers and healing thoughts.

Thank you God!
