I don't know if any of you remember when they had the cartoon contest on the daily goo? for a T-shirt design.
anyway I did some drawings for it but never had anything I liked so didn't enter it.

I just found this in a folder. it's the first version of it and then the colored version. I was still in highschool when I did em so theyre kind of messed up, but I just thought they were funny so I'm sharing.

I TOTALLY remember that! OMG, those are soooo good, you should have entered them! I love to draw and paint, but I am not nearly as good as you are. Did you really draw that? Can I use that for my backround on my computer... LOVE IT. You are very talented.

do you mean on his right cheek? I wouldnt have noticed anything unless you just said that.

I dont do people. Im not good at them at all.. I drew my grandpa once, and that was it. Ive cranked out quite a few paintings lately. Ive been doing alot of negitive things lately.... smoking, graveyard, I did one that was this big explosion in the backround, and the silhouette of my ex boyfriend and I. I never knew how great abstract art was, and how over powering of emotion you can get from it until lately. My painting instructor thought I flipped my lid, I was throwing paint on my canvas and went to town... I was exausted when it was all over, but everyone who seen it thought it was great. It was probably the best thing I have ever done. sorry, I didnt mean to ramble about it:D

anyone else feel free to join in.

tomorrow I'm going to scan that again so it doesn't drive me crazy.

:( sorry, I dont have any online. The best I could do is turn my webcam on and show it to you:p I started with acrylic, but tend to work more with oil now. It can be a pain in the ass how slow it dries, but the colors are more vivid and realistic which I like. Do you paint at all? I would love to see more of what you got.

oh, and if you like dark art, I bet you would like the gumball machine that I did. It looks all nice and bubbley and there are gumballs outside of the machine and then people inside the machine... kinda opposite of what its really like. Get a prospective from a gumballs point of view:) yes, I know, Im a weirdo. lol but its another one of my favorites

yeah I paint. I usually use oil, but today I did some acrylic. I tend to want to use acrylic thinned like watercolor though because it dries so fast and I don't really like what I end up with.

I do alot of artwork on bands. I love drawing people alot and musicains. except for some stuff of johnny and rob thomas though I work from memory and photos of bands that I take myself though. I go to alot of local stuff.

I do a ton of mosaic/ collage stuff too. that's my favorite medium

thats cool. I must say I had to amuse myself by entitling my gumball machine painting "big machine". I also drew a pair of lungs tacked to a brick wall and then took a cigarette and burned a hole in the lung and set the edges of it a flame. it looks awesome, so I framed it:p

Oil is still my favorite, I just wish it would dry faster. I guess it doesnt help that I add extra oil to it to get the glosser effect. I kinda wanna get into more water colors now that you mention it.
