I THINK I saw Joel today... [Archive]

I was walking towards Macy's in New York City today and I saw this cute guy who looked a lot like Joel. He wasn't wearing any eyeliner so he looked a little different but I could have sworn it was him. He was with an Asian girl, and he was wearing jeans, a Louis Vuitton belt, a jacket of course and a skull cap. I was like staring at him b/c I wasn't sure if it was him or not and he smiled back. Then I looked at them while they were walking away and the girl with him had a GC backpack on. So I am just wondering...was it really him? I know none of you would really know w/o seeing him but where is GC now, in NY maybe? Does Joel have an Asian girlfriend? I thought I'd ask the board b/c I don't know much about him!! I should have went up to him but I didn't want to look like an ass if it wasn't really him. Thanks guys!

He did/does have an asian girlfriend...it could have been him...there haven't really been any sightings since they have been back from Europe that I have read, but if I were him, I would be in NYC!!!

Well, I guess the way you could def tell is by the tat on Benji's neck. Benji has a huge one on his neck and Joel doesn't.

Yeah it was really weird...I saw the guy, I'm gonna call him Joel b/c I think it was him...and he was cute. They walked passed me but then turned around and walked the other way. So I was kinda staring and walking in back of them to try to see if it was him and his pants were low so I saw the LV belt...and then I looked at the girl and saw the backpack, and I was like wtf? That was weird!!! He was kinda in his 'punk' clothes but the LV belt stood out. Didnt they wear LV jackets in their video?

So lets recap all these clues...he looks like Joel, he has the LV belt, he is wearing 'punky' clothes, his gf has a GC backpack, and he was with an Asian girl, which is supposedly his girlfriend, and he is walking fast b/c he thought I was stalking him LOL I was literally STARING b/c I wanted to know if it was him!!

I think Joel is cuter than Benji so if it was one of them, it had to be Joel!! I dunno...what do you think?

I dont think he had a tattoo on his neck but he was wearing a jacket and a hat so it could have been covered. I'm trying to remember the details but i cant...other than what i already said.

On another message board someone said that she and her friends saw Benji at a restaurant in New York earlier tonight I believe, so it probably was Benji whom you saw. It has been rumored that Benji has been seeing someone from Japan, and he is the one with the chubbier face. Plus, he wears skull caps more often than Joel does. By the way, what skull cap was he wearing? It's possible that it could have been Joel and his girlfriend because he does have an Asian girlfriend, but I am thinking that he is at his home in San Jose, CA. So does this make you change your mind again about which one you saw? LOL!

His LV belt was not like the bag that everyone knows. It was khaki fabric, not leather. And they did wear LV jackets in one of their videos so they prolly do wear stuff from Louis Vuitton! Maybe it was Benji, I'm really confused. But the GC backpack was all black with some netting on the back and it said 'Good Charlotte' in green letters.

most of the bands i think we all like are like that... nice down to earth people... like new found glory... total sweethearts. the sweetest guys... you can hold a conversation with any of them about anything... same as good charlotte... or mest or simple plan... they might be big but they'll still hold conversations with you cuz you treat and talk to them like humans which they are!!! ooh imagine that!!!

yes, exactly! And because the fans aren't giggly bubblegummers, they can actually talk to and hang out with their fans without getting mobbed and "OMG"ed at. It's like a whole different world apart from other genres. It's really a cool thing, to be able for both the artists and the fans to be close like that. If other fans in other genres calmed the **** down, they would be able to have the same relationship.

Ok well to everyone making fun of me or directing rude comments toward me...I'd just like to say I am not even a huge fan of GC. And I didnt stalk anyone. I saw Joel or Benji walking down the street and I was just wondering if it was really him I saw. So I was trying to explain what he looked like and what the girl looked like so someone could tell me what they thought, if it was him or not. I am not going around spreading rumors about anything!! I know what you mean about teenyboppers and believe me I am not one of them. Maybe b/c I am a Backstreet Boys fan you think that, I dunno...but I am far from it.

I've met and hung out with the Backstreet Boys too and its not like 'OMG do you KNOW who you are?' They are normal human beings to their fans...down to earth and always nice. Yes, some of their fans are teenies but I think that comes with the territory. Every band has their share. Anyway I am done defending myself. I don't want to cause drama...but just remember I wasn't stalking anyone. And YES I am fascinated by celebs to an extent but there is no reason to put me down for it.

Funny how that sounds like my experiences with the Backstreet Boys. Not many people realize how awesome these guys are. The first time I met them I was talking to a couple of them like a normal person and fans all around me we're like OMG how could you TALK to them? And I just responded, its like talking to one of your friends...they are just people like you and me. So I can agree with you there...but sometimes I am fascinated at how celebs can walk down the street and not get bothered. You see, i never approached 'Joel'. Just want to add that the majority of us on this board are also BSB fans... so that has nothing to do with it. I'm sorry if it seemed like we were picking on you... I'm think everyone was just going off on their own tangents or whatever. I just joined in with the sarcastic stuff and jokes... I don't think anyone meant any harm.

hahaha you guys know I'm always messing around. There is much sarcasm on here. Yes, I admit much love for BSB too. You can't deny they are all very talented vocalists. So don't feel like we're taking shots at you, I was just saying how some people can be like that. I would never be mean to anyone, unless they really did deserve it, which I wouldn't ever do online because like I've said, the net is different than the "real world". ahh, I see now. My ex was a pro motocross rider and one day when I was at one of his shows, they asked me if I wanted to be an "Umbrella Girl (http://www.umbrellagirlsusa.com)", which basically is a girl that does nothing other than stand there and look pretty. They describe them as "motorsports models". Riiiight. I'm kind of an idiot for not doing it because it's easy money, but whatever, I'm not going to do something stupid that's going to have people not take me seriously.
