I would really appreciate it if everyone could pray for two special individuals. First off, I found my friend Bo dead from suicide on Friday. He was a star football player and about to graduate highschool and go to UCI on full scholarship. Second, I found out tonight that an online friend was beaten by her father with a bat and may not survive. She's on life support right now and hasn't flatlined in almost two hours. Injury was mainly to her head and she might have brain damage but it's too early to tell.
Thanks alot :) God bless.

Everyone please keep praying for my friend who's father beat her. She got to go home yesterday and today because she was only injured on her head. She got a cat-scan today and they found a large mass and gave her family two options, they could either leave it and she'd have 2 months to a year to live or have surgery to remove it and have a 50/50 chance of surviving. So she's having surgery at 1pm South African time (wee hours of the morning for us Americans). I hope she survives!
So far her father hasn't been arrested or anything for beating her with a bat, I'm outraged. The legal system in South Africa seems to be crap, besides the fact that her father has high connections with people. He needs to be in jail, ESPECIALLY if she dies because it'll have been all his fault. Hell she's only 18.

Unfortunately, not all countries are particularly diligent about protecting children from abuse.
I'll pray for her tonight. Please keep us informed.

Times like this is when you are thankful we live in America, even if we do have problems galore. At least we take a stand on abuse n this country. God bless this child's heart. But remember one thing December...........God has a purpose and reason for everything. If this young girl dies, it's because He maybe didn't want her to suffer anymore at the hand of this abusive man. I won't call him a father because he's not in my mind. He's an animal.

Oh Lacey, so sorry to hear that. I'll be glad to send some healing thoughts your friend's way. Can you tell me her first name, please?
And suicide.. jeez, such a waste. I just don't understand it. My deepest sympathies to you and to his family and friends.

It's alright, thanks.
She's had two surgeries to remove the mass on her brain now and should be fine. However her father kicked her liver and they think it's failed because of that. She might have to have a third surgery because of complications from the first two but hopefully she'll be fine. Thanks so much for all of the prayers.

what sort of father is it who beats his daughter to near death?

December, I'm so thankful she's come through this major surgery. I'm sure the other one will go well too. I'll continue my prayers for her. God bless her heart.
Evidently Earl, not much of a Father at all. Very sad indeed. :bluesad:

A father who hates her guts even though she's only been the best to him. A father who constantly puts her down and hits her. A father who won't allow her to go to college for teaching (her passion), but wants her to go to college and have whatever she does benefit him. A father who won't allow her to come to the states and see her boyfriend of 2 years because she's "too immature". Really, the man needs to be locked away in prison. But he has too many connections with law enforcement. :o
