"Newlyweds" stars Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey host, with musical guest G-Unit featuring hip-hop superstar 50 Cent.
Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey are the first married couple to host SNL in ten years (Alec Baldwin & Kim Basinger hosted in 1994). The recording artists' lives have changed since agreeing to star in MTV's popular reality show "Newlyweds" which chronicled their first year of married life with millions of viewers in tow. The show returns for its second season this month.
Joining the "Newlyweds" are hip-hop firebrands G-Unit featuring 50 Cent. Few artists have broken out as huge as 50 Cent. His crew G-Unit has been part of that phenomenal success since his early beginnings on the mixtape circuit. G-Unit is 50 flanked by Lloyd Banks, Young Buck and the still-incarcerated Tony Yayo. The double platinum album "Beg For Mercy" is already blazing up the charts with the first single "Stunt 101" scoring across the boards.
