well I wouldnt say its the best by far, but you can use geocities. Their pagebuilder makes it pretty simple.

Maybe I'm just old fashioned but I prefer to create my webpages myself, using HTML, etc. At first, learning the stuff can seem very intimidating, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature. One good thing about writing your own codes is that you're not limited to somebody else's templates and therefore the door to creativity is left wide open for you to create your website any way you desire. To me, those drag and drop type website creators seem soooo...boring... after a while they all start to look the same. *bleh*

Sofie is only 14 though and doesn't know anything about html. I'm in the same boat as her, I have no idea about html, although I am slightly older than her...by a few years, but not many.

I use Homestead, but I pay for it. Geocities is pretty cr*p, they never give you enough space, but it's ok for a beginner.

Perhap's I'll learn html one day. It seems so complicated.

I learnt simple HTML and then I used web-page generators from Word and Excel etc and they generated far more than was necessary and it was so badly formatted that it was even hard to edit manually.

Later on I wrote simple C++ programs to generate an HTML web-page for my chart with links that was generated from a CSV file.

I have never used any more complex web techniques like ASP - well not directly anyway.

I did learn Java once and learnt how that can be used in web-pages. Now if only they let you create web-pages using C++.
