Lets make a list the best we find.

Here's one I recently discovered. In fact they even have an on-line website just packed full of useful information, especially in their maps section! The Way We Lived in North Carolina (http://www.waywelivednc.com/introduction.htm)

*ahem*

Not exactly what you asked for, but an important book to have in one's collection nonetheless:

The Best Places to Kiss in Northern California (http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/1877988278/ref=sib_db_rdr/103-5750711-9911031#reader-link)

Bill Murphy's One Tank Trips

There are two of these books, written by Fox 13's news anchor. It talks about many places in Florida to go on one tank of gas & prices, area food, hotel, attractions. There around $9.00.
