OK, the first page of LD is entirely too depressing right now.

Too many "I need help" "I need to talk" "My life sucks" threads.

We all need to get happy. Yay!

Justin!

Lance!

Joey!

Chris!

JC!

Happiness!

:D :D :D

PJ got "Employee of the Month" for December! :)

I've lost all the weight I gained over the holidays!

Schizophrenic will be in our hands in a little over a month! (JC/Jive better not change it again. :susp2: )

Jason Alexander is still available! :p

Chris has managed to avoid the old folks' home (so far)!

Lance!

JC!

Joey!

Justin!

Oooh, congrats to PJ on her Employee of the Month and to you on your weightloss!

And yes. I have my eyes set on Jason Alexander. I love boys with great grammar like he has.

Whoo for losing weight and being a employee of the month!

I knew the first element of the periodic table in my Chemistry class is Hydrogen and not what someone else said (sulfuric acid).

pinky
Jan 14th, 2004, 12:06 PM
I don't think sulfuric acid is even an element, is it? Isn't it something like H2SO4?

Katlin
Jan 14th, 2004, 12:25 PM
LOL.

Before she tells me this story she goes "What is the first element on the periodic table?"

What if I had said sulfuric acid too? Think she would have laughed at me?

I've concluded that I go to school with dumbasses. Is that bad?

I mean, there are a lot of intelligent people, but some of them that go here are... not the brightest crayon in the crayon box, yaknowwhati'msaying?

Just a comment from my side. I have noticed that you always post complete stereotypes about the people here in Tennessee, granted I know that the majority of people think that most people in TN are dumbass hick hillbillies, but really, if you feel this way about the people and the university itself, why don't you go somewhere else? It has exactly what you are looking for in the future, and all you do is complain about it. If you can find more of an intelligent state with a higher rating for education, feel free to transfer, I'm sure they'll love you there.

sorry, didn't mean to come into a "happy" thread bitching about things, just bothers me at times, that's all.

I know you will be highly defensive about this, so before it becomes a petty, stupid argument, I just wanted to say I'm sorry if you take it in a complete, negative way. And no, it's not sarcasm.

It's all a joke, I know a lot of intelligent people who are from Tennessee.

And yes it does have exactly what I'm looking for when it comes to the Recording Industry, that is if I want to stay in Tennessee or work in Country music. Granted there are a lot of non-country/gospel related music things in this area, but Nashville hardly has the respect in those genres.

I'm not bothered by your comments at all, to be quite honest.

I don't really know who you are or what your problems with Lauren are, but if you could look read the original post in this thread and see that this is supposed to be happy and stressfree and free from the rest of the bull**** that goes on on this board, I would really appreciate if you took your problems/concerns to PMs or somewhere else.

What does that mean? I'm confuzzled.

As far as anything else goes, Lauren is one of the sweetest and most non-judgemental people I know. We have spoken at great lengths about Tennessee and she does not have a problem with that state, nor the people in Tennessee as a whole. As with wherever you live, there are people that rub you the wrong way. And as Lanie stated, you can live somewhere or near a certain state and make fun of it. It's not a personal thing and doesn't mean that you don't actually like that place at all.

I am originally from Northern Virginia (near DC) and we used to have alot of fun making cracks about West Virginia. But that didn't take away from our knowledge that not everyone there lived in a trailer - it was a generalization. West Virginia is actually a very beautiful state.

My point is, was it really necessary to call her out here in a thread that was supposed to be a happy thread?

Jan 17th, 2004, 08:58 PM
You know, I'm not really even sure. It was something like 78-71. I wasn't paying close attention, because I had to go pick up PJ from work.

Xavier actually was in the lead for a good portion of the game. Unfortunately for Katlin, the only time it really matters is at the end! :p

Only 4 undefeated teams left!

Correction on the final score: Saint Joe's 81, Xavier 73.

One of our guys, Delonte West, had a perfect game, shooting 12-for-12 from the field (3 three-pointers!) and 6-for-6 from the line. I've never heard of that before!

Xephakin
Jan 18th, 2004, 09:45 AM
Pinky, the way you just made it sound was that he hit 12-12 and they are ALL 3-pointers. I couldn't believe this for a minute, so I looked and he hit 3-3 on three pointers, 9-9 on 2-pointers, and 6-6 on free throws. Sorry about being so anal, but being a player myself, it was hard to believe, reading it that way.

Yesterday must've been the day for good basketball. I found out that the guy from my H.S. is tied for 5th in the Ohio Northern record books for all time 3-pointers made, with two hundred.

He went 3 for 8 shooting on three pointers yesterday to end the day with 11 points. Only 75 more three pinters until he breaks the school record:D.

Sorry for the confusion!

It was STILL an awesome performance for him, and very good for his future, as this game was televised nationally, and many pro scouts were there, probably looking more at Jameer Nelson than West.

I don't remember if mimsy was a doctor, but I do know that Lance and Justin were. JC was brought in to rescusitate (sp?) someone, I helped some doctor operate on Jujubear, who apparently had extra arms, legs, butts, and hearts.

Oh, weit! Mimsy wasn't a doctor......she had to have her eyebrows removed!

And Lois was flying around the hospital on "Superman" by clinging to his back hair.

Then there was something about a walking spleen that had something to do with Lou.
