Today I heard Toxic on the radio station B96 for the second time, and the DJ Roxanne said that if you haven't bought In The Zone yet, you should pick it up because even if you didn't like Britney before, this CD is amazing. She also said it's cool that dance music is coming back, especially Britney, when hip-hop is so prevalent on the station. ;)

That's actually quite funny. I remember when Britney was about ready to hit the DWAD tour in that area she really hated her.

It's weird when DJ's actually praise Britney.

Hmmm, This reminds me of when N'Stink & company use to pay MTV & certain radio DJ's to play "Tearing up my Heart" so the gullible kiddies & others would buy into the crap. I can't believe what the state of music has become  Everything is SO over-hyped!

Who said anything about being paid? She used to like Britney, and for awhile she didn't, and now she does again. I don't think money's involved.

Anyway, Toxic was #4 on the 9@9 Countdown today (January 15). I haven't heard Britney played this much on radio in a long time.

I have to hand it to Britney, whether she picked most of her collaborators or not....there are some good pop songs on that album...

Breathe on ME
Early Mornin'
Toxic
Touch Of My Hand
Everytime...

They are all very good pop songs...

Outrageous,Showdown, and the Hook up are ok

The rest are not too stellar...

I appreciate your opinion BUT it is known in the industry that record companies send out all kinds of "gifts" to MTV, VH1 & radio stations. Some artist who rely on image & videos more than others tend to do this more. N'Sync was a known example. This has become somewhat standard but with some "artists" it's a given!!!

P.S. I don't usually watch videos but I do try to give all kinds of music a try. The song "Toxic" sounds like it was recorded by an amateur trying to get a record deal. BUT TO EACH HIS/HER OWN.

I think that there's room for Britney, the hip-hop hits and the other kinds of artists to be played on that station. Music does change in cycles; some people get tired of some sounds, then want to move on to something else. Last year, radio wanted to move to a mature, adult pop mode, no teen pop, dance stuff or younger artists in the lineup. Now, after that phase, the fun is back, and Britney is one of the artists they like. I think they like this In the Zone album more than the two before it.
