* Ella Fitzgerald - Can't Buy Me Love; Got To Get You Into My Life (not heard it yet though...); Hey Jude (a rather interesting version...)
* Duke Ellington - I Wanna Hold Your Hand; All My Loving (nhy)
* Sarah Vaughan - You Never Give Me Your Money (a fabulous arrangement of this song, I love the swing feel to the middle-8)
* Louis Armstrong - Give Peace A Chance - from What A Wonderful World 1970 (haven't actully heard it, and never heard OF it either until tonight...)

I heard one at a restaurant a few weeks ago, and I want to say it was Ella singing Got To Get You Into My Life. Really cool.

When I was working for my college radio station, and we were doing a folk and acoustic show, all the hosts seemed to always find folksie covers of the Beatles.

IMO, the best Beatles cover is Fiona Apple's rendition of "Across the Universe"
