I swear, my husband and I are going to apply for the job next year. These two were quite possibly the WORST commentators I've ever heard for a Super Bowl.

Mostly, I think Simms was an idiot, and he brought Gumbel down to his level.

It's hard to believe he ever played the game. He doesn't seem to understand even the basics.

No, they are NOT the best CBS has. That would be Dick Enberg and Dan Dierdorf.

But having said that, I didn't think they were as horrible as usual last night. I actually found myself agreeing with Simms on a couple of comments, which is highly unusual for me.

They were far from good. That's why the game should have been on Fox.

When games were on CBS this season, we'd turn the mute on and turn the radio on. Those announcers were even better than them.

Simms lost all credibility in the third quarter, on the play that was ruled an incomplete pass, but might just as easily have been ruled a completion and fumble.

He kept insisting that BOTH coaches wanted the play reviewed. Of course, the Patriots would have wanted a review. Had the play been overturned, they would have gotten possession.

John Fox had absolutely NO reason to ask for a review, but Simms kept insisting (without offering an explanation) that he was arguing for a review.

Stupid idiot.
