Looking at the home front, just how much freedom is there? Are people too afraid to speak out? Has the doctrine of fear been instilled through the mass media so effectively that nobody dares to make a scene (without being quarantined to a place where they wont be heard)? They do have a good point here about this and how things have changed in just a short few years, but at the same time it appears we are all caught up in a Catch 22 situation thanks to the beast.

We haven't seen the beast yet. He's gonna be a charmer that everyone loves. It's obvious everyone doesn't love Bush. And I don't for a minute believe people are being detained that way or harrassed that way. I've traveled abroad in the last couple months and although security was tight, it wasn't as they are portraying here. If there is reason to suspect anyone, then I appreciate the dilligence for our citizen's sakes. I applaud the effort being made, and I saw it first hand in several airports.

Well, I guess when they shut down A-O-L we will know, but it will be much too late, unfortunately...

He's gonna be a charmer that (almost) everyone loves....and a deceiver too, until most become deceived due to the silencing of the opposition.
(check the first couple of hits silencing receives at google)

I disagree. Daniel says differently. But to be honest I won't have to worry anyway since I'll be safe at this time. This study I'm in now has really cleared up the clouds I had, and I have no doubts anymore of the worst of times. The trust and faith I have is all I need.

Interpretations taught by those who stand behind the state is not exactly the safest approach spiritually. Did not Hitler do the same to deceive his nation by allowing only pro-state religious organisations to preach freely?

Pardon me Java, but my pastor doesn't preach from a political platform, nor does it enter our discussions. It's from God's Word alone. What a disappointment.

It runs much, much deeper than this unfortunately...

(Things are getting kinda hot, so I'll quit. I think anybody who knows, knows where I'm coming from anyway)

I cant help but agree with Gail. The Beast will be well liked by everyone, a carefull study of scipture attests to that. It is the one who the entire world will see as wonderful and will be well like by all.
That is who you have to worry about. He will not be obvious and will fool many even those who have been warned.

I feel like Im jumping in the middle of something here, but I just dont see the beginning.

But I shall add my comments anyway. :)

Bush is not well liked around the globe. In my opinion, I can not see him fooling anyone. However, thats what the beast would want you to think. Im sure Bush has a lot of people working for him, so technically, whatever he is doing is not him but others directing him. I've heard some crazy stuff before, but I just cant believe it.

I need more info, but I dont know if it would help. I dont look too deeply into conspiracy theories.

It was in the news forum. I guess the mods felt like mine and Java's part got too religious to stay there. I'm not all pro Bush as it would seem sometimes in what I say. I do have clear vision, but I don't see any other way we could have accomplished ridding the world of Saddam other than what we've done. But I certainly don't believe he ties in to the tribulation no more then you or I do.
