View Full Version : Plan Your Own Funeral (80's Style)

I heard on the radio this morning that due to all the uproar over Princess Diana's funeral, all of the members of the Royal family now have to each plan their own funerals.

Your job is now to select which 80's band/artist you would want to sing at your funeral and name the song, which group/artist would read the eulogy, and which group/artists would be the pallbearers...

1) Prince would sing "Purple Rain" at my funeral
2) Sheena Easton would read the eulogy
3) The Revolution wuld be the pallbearers

After my funeral, you guys could party like it was 1999...

Joey McIntyre would sing "Please Don't Go Girl"
Danny Wood would read the eulogy. We'd be there for days.
The rest of the New Kids would be the pallbearers.

Once I'm 6 feet under and buried, they would be again allowed to sing Hangin' Tough.

He's not heavy, he's my brother.

I'd Have Peter Gabriel sing "In Your Eyes", Pete Townshend read the eulogy, and AC/DC carry the casket.

I really like the He Ain't Heavy song. I figure the USA for Africa folks can just hand me off down the line. Like getting buckets of water to put out a fire.

I'd want KISS to have a Farewell Again Reunion Concert, and I'd be creamated in the massive explosion at the end, and my ashes will scatter down like rain on so many astonished fans. I'll be replayed on videos all over the country for years. (I'll also be washed down many drains when people wash their hair that night... now that I think about it.)

Oh yeah, and any bone fragments of me will fetch a good price on e-bay.

The finale song? God of Thunder. The whole scene of it. It's my favorite. They could play an encore of FIREHOUSE as they douse the section of building taken out by my fluffisication. (Fluffing of the ashes due to explosive creamation... I made that up.)

Let's hope the body would be cremated and not just blown to bits into the mosh pit. That would be a biohazard.

Actually, if they didn't leave me out too long, I'd still be fresh enough. Isn't fresh meat only susceptible (sp) to samonella after 4 hours?

I don't have time to look up spelling.

That's eggs. At any rate, Kiss would have to be on call. Better hope you bite it near Detroit.

Cher to do the Eulogy (I want to be her "SON" too)

I want the Raiders to be the palbears - if I gotta go down, I want it to be with them ;)

huh...what a topic. kinda morbid, no? just the way i like it...hahaha! i'd like to be cremated and be scattered into the winds of San Francisco from the golden gate bridge while...
1. "Forever Young" by Alphaville played into the blue sky
2. Jewel would read my eulogy (because she's such a talented poet)
3. the members of Guns N Roses (the original band members!) would take turns scattering my remains because i grew up on their music so i figure they should be there at the end.
