Yea!
A day late, but happy, happy!
Also a day late, I made it to Strawberry Fields today in honor... That being in between listening non-stop to some of the radio stations here in NYC that have been doing non-stop (or close to non-stop) Beatles and listening to and watching Beatles stuff from my library.

I've always wanted to go there, the Dakota too.

Well, I walked past the Dakota afterwards, as they are pretty much right across the street from one another.

I've always wanted to go there too, James. *wink wink* :p
I wore my Beatles shirt yesterday and have been listening to the radio non-stop. Tonight I'll be watching the Beatles tribute at the Grammys, and Wednesday night I'll be listening to DC's first Beatles concert on the radio.
I really should have gone to see the Beatles photos again yesterday. If anyone can see that exhibit at the Smithsonian American History Museum, it's so worth it.

The Grammy's sucked. They called that an All Star Tribute? I was so pissed off. One song and a couple thank you speeches are not enough people. I want to see some real footage and some more songs dammit!! GAH!

Yeah, it was quite bogus. And then I got all excited when I saw Yoko Ono, thinking that they were all going to be on stage, and then Ringo and Paul weren't there. Makes me mad.

Yeah I thought they'd all be there too, but after seeing how ****ty the show actually was I can see why Paul and Ringo didn't bother coming. Geez.

Wouldn't that have been something, though? I honestly got chills for 2 seconds before they said they were in London.

lol, yeah I know what you mean! I seriously was sitting on the edge of my seat after they brought Yoko out, just waiting for Paul and Ringo to walk out on stage. *sigh* Bitter dissapointment. Bitter I say!

You'd think they could at least have been together in London.

Paul and Yoko on the same stage, as if... Anyway, who were the stars paying tribute to them?

Hey Tommy! What's up man?
It was a strange mixture of artists, lol. Sting (bass, vocals), Pharrel from the Neptunes (drums), Vince Gill (lead Guitar, vocals) & Dave Matthews (rhythm guitar, vocals) performed a rendition of I Saw Her Standing There, it was decent.
Olivia Harrison came out and gave a short speech, followed by an emotional Yoko. Then they played two previously recorded acceptance speeches by Paul & Ringo. Bada Bing Bada Bang..
